Donatello
"The subject cried when he tried the food. Time of shortage?"
"The guy has marks other than scars, at least as far as I can see. Is it because of his turtle breed?"
"The subject has his own hair, black and unevenly cut. How did he get it?"
"Three-fingered hand covered in dirty, old bandages. Some scars may be seen on the parts that are not covered."
"His clothes are oriental style, Kimono perhaps?"
"Despite his initial hostility he is actually quite calm. "I will continue to observe"
Donatello leaves his notebook on the table, he always carried one but he had rarely used it so he had plenty of pages available, he thought this was the ideal time to use it. This new mutant was, so to speak, more intriguing than anyone I have known in the time in which they have surfaced, it has so many unknown variables that in itself it is a mystery that he wants to delve into in depth. So he began to detail every detail that caught his attention and then focus on trying to clear up the doubts one by one.
He focuses his attention on the creature in front of him, just as his older brothers doubt that Lou is his real name and why he didn't give them his real name is another of the mysteries he must clear up; Leo's idea that he could be an alternative version of one of them is not completely ruled out from his list of possibilities, but he still cannot find any detail that could link him to any of them: he does not have eyes of any specific color and the tone of its scales is different, apparently the breed of turtle is also different although without a thorough examination it is difficult to determine which one, he would like to take a closer look but the stranger was immersed in a low voice conversation with his younger brother and it would not be appropriate interrupt them, not after the emotional moment he had minutes ago.
The fact that he seemed to immediately get along with Michealangelo might be something to take into account if it weren't for his little brother's propensity to adopt strangers and assimilate them as friends and/or family moments after meeting them, it simply spoke more about Mikey than the strange. Although he would have it in mind depending on how events unfolded.
He feels the gaze of his orange brother and that of the subject on him, apparently at some point during their rambling the two had stopped talking and were now looking at him with a smile.
—What is that huge brain of yours thinking so much? - the older turtle asks him with a smile full of melancholy. Don has two new things to write down on his list, one: that the creature in front of him knows him enough to know that he is the smart one of the group, without discrediting his friends. brothers but he knows that he is the one who takes the title, and two: knowing that makes him sad. He frowns.
— I think you are a huge enigma and I am still wondering if you are a danger to my family — his answer came out harsher than he intended but he did not regret that, it was better to make it clear what his thoughts were on the matter and that, Although he was welcomed into his home, it was only to keep him under surveillance.
— You can ask whatever you want — the stranger responds — I will try to answer as sincerely as possible — and that offer caught the purple turtle off guard, who could only remain speechless for a moment before composing himself and opening his notebook again.
— You'll regret this — Mikey tells the older man before standing up and going to the refrigerator — while I'll prepare dinner, don't be too bad Dee — he warns and leaves them alone.
The forced guest chuckles and sits back in his chair, looking at the scientist with a non-existent eyebrow raised. Donatello focuses on his eyes for a moment and looks away when he notices the intensity and deep sadness they emanate.
