The Odd one for me

Part 14

I found you.

I shoot up from my position on the floor quickly, turning to the window and sniffing it out. It smells like its across the street. I grab my sword and stick it in my kimono. I jump out the window onto another roof. Then another until i landed on top of the roof i smelt the presence more near.

"You have another one? Good job little man."

"Yes! She will be here until the week ends my lady, now please! Let my daughter go!" I peek my head down to the alleyway the hidden demon and the old man who offered me hospitality to were speaking. "How dare you command such orders from me? Do you know who the hell your talking to?!" I hear a thump and see the man fall to the ground. "I-im sorry! It won't happen again!"
He pleads. I can smell the fear of him from here. "Damn right it won't. Anyways, is it a boy or girl? Describe it to me." The man sits up on his knees with his head bowed to the demon.

"I-it's a girl, i'd say teenager...she has (E/C) eyes...
(H/C) hair, about (your height) and a pretty strong young lady." I frown at the sound of him describing me. "Oh wow! She sounds tasty." I roll my eyes and look around. I glance to the open window inside the bakery and smile to myself. "Looks like i can explore a bit." I mumble quietly to myself as i hop through the window and into a dining area. The inside matches the outside...

I begin to walk around, glancing at everything that catches my eye. No wisteria like normal shops, obviously. It smells...like baked goods, wait- no im catching a hint of something... i sniff the air around me. Thats human blood. I sneak back out the window i crawled into and through the kitchen window. I land into what can only be described as... a clean kitchen?

I walk around and lift things to see if anything will pop up. But nothing. Thats until i walk over a weak floorboard. I smirk to myself. "Gotcha." I lift it up and squeeze myself down the hole. I clench my nose at the stench of rotting flesh and search the dim lit room. I look around and my vision lands upon three people. A women and two children. "Hey...wake up..!" I tap the women's shoulder slightly and her eyes go wide.

Oh shit she's gonna scream i can sense it..!

I cover her mouth and flash my sword to her.

"Im here to help...tell me how you got here. If you want to live. Do. Not. Scream." I tell her as she calms down slightly.

"M-my husband grew sick, and I was sent to look for medicine upon all the people who took care of him. I searched all around-" she stops to catch her breath. "-all around to find it until i grew tired and came here. They all took me in...and gave me things for free...then a boy who offered his home to me poisoned me. Next thing i know. Me and seven others were locked down here." I look around.

"They must've killed the four others." She holds the boney small children who were still sleep next to her. "No...no she keeps one girl away. That girl gets it better than all of us. I don't know where she is. Please...help us." She says as red tears spill from her blood shot eyes. I pat her back in reassurance. "I will save you all. Don't worry. I will be back. Hold up longer for me okay?" She nods as i turn towards the stairs.

"Wait..!" Im about to walk out the dark place but turn back to the women. "Whatever you do, DONT...trust anyone. She controls everything." I nod and look back up. "Stay safe." I leave and close that door back quickly; Leaving without making a mess or getting caught. As I swiftly get back onto the roof i notice the demon and the man are parting ways. I quickly jump roof to roof back into the old man's resort. Then resting my head down onto the mat below me. The old man knocks on my door not so long after i came back.
