Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, was home to mutants who want to learn and control their powers. Professor Charles Xavier, was in class teaching the kids about the evolutions of humanity and mutant.
Charles: Although humanity doesn't see eye to eye with all mutants, we must continue to strive and do what is right. Though they do not need us, we will always be there to help them. For it is a step closer in bringing peace between both sides.
The door opens as Cyclops, Scott Summers, walks inside with his wife, Jean Grey. This nods Charles to dismiss the class.
Charles: We will continue this another time. Class dismissed.
The kids all walked out as Scott and Jean walk over to Charles.
Charles: Scott, Jean. Is there anything I could help with?
Jean: Oh no, it's not that, Charles. It's just... is it true that you're assigning her to go to Japan?
Scott: For all we know, sir. The supernatural could be just a rumor. And I don't think it's right to put our daughter to lead.
Charles: Scott, you know better that Ashley is a very well gifted child. Surely you know yourselves. Growing up, she's excelled in many classes and has saved a lot of young mutants from a harsh situation from humans. And she has inherited both your abilities.
Scott: I just don't know if I can allow this, Professor. I don't want to risk Ashley's safety being jeopardized by anything. Especially with Magneto still on the loose.
Charles: I'm aware. That's why she isn't going alone. I'm assigning Rogue and Gambit to watch over her, as well as Kurt and Betsy.
