Chapter 6- The interloper

Requital had been lying on the ground, wondering who Fatal and Sl4sh would bring back next. When suddenly he heard an odd noise. It sounded like several bells.

Requital jumped up to his feet, holding his scythe out in front of his body, scanning the area for any threats. He felt his face shift into confusion, trying to see where the noise was coming from. He stayed in the same spot, ready to attack, when a golden ring hovered in the air right in front of him.

he could hear screams fading closer to him, when Fatal and Sl4sh fell out from the gold circle. Fatal reacted with a muffled "Ouch", while Sl4sh just let out a quiet grunt. Both hedgehogs landing flat on their faces.

A new male landed in-between the pair gracefully, hitting the ground in a kind of kneel.

Requital watched as Fatal slowly got up. The blue hedgehog they had brought began to speak. turning to the two others, but talking in a way that made it seem like he was in front of an audience doing stand up comedy. Requital could already tell he wasn't going to like this guy.

"See? Not so bad!" the new guy waved his arms around "We dodged Shatterverse traffic. Though we could've also dodged Solaris rush hour if you told me your destination sooner." Fatal  walked over to Requital, leaving Sl4sh on the ground next to the obviously mentally unstable hedgehog looking as if he wanted to die. He probably did. Requital sure wanted to, and he's only been with the guy for three seconds.

"Honest mistake! I should've asked you!" Sl4sh groaned, still on the ground. Requital stared at the two for a second longer before asking Fatal, "Let me guess, your new friend?"

Fatal responded to Requital without even looking at him. And this was the guy who was always getting on him about manners. "He knows much of our enemy. He's an ally"

Requital looked over doubting that this blue clown guy could help them in any way. Requital internally sighed when he saw the man with a grin that literally took up half of his face. Sl4sh, who had gotten up, yelled "He's a liability! Twice he dropped us to our deaths without warning." He held up two fingers as if trying to emphasize the number.

Majin looked down, a look of confusion on his face. "...Deaths? I mean, I thought I made it pretty obvious the second ti-"

Sl4sh had been shaking in anger, cutting in before Majin could even finish his sentence.

"The only thing you've made obvious is your inability to take matters seriously!"

Majin held his hands up, as if in defeat, before saying "Woah, easy there sunshine! You gotta save your breath for all those jacks you're gonna sing." "I will overlook your satirical tone if you heed the gravity of mine." Sl4sh said, scoffing in Majin's face before walking away

Majin just looked at Sl4sh as he walked over to join Fatal and requital "オーケー、相棒" (Okay buddy)

Requital, Fatal, and Sl4sh stared at Majin, watching as he did all sorts of weird things, getting on Requitals nerves. "I want you to know that it's taking every fiber of my being to not pulverize this guy." Requital watched the blue hedgehog, as he stared directly into Requital's eyes, waving his hand quickly.

"Relax" Fatal assured "I did not scout him for his jokes. He will prove his worth. In time." Sl4sh stared in the opposite direction of Majin, saying "for all our sakes, I hope you're right."

"ともかく" (Anyway) Majin looked at Requital, acting entertained. "We haven't met lemons! My name is Majin! And you?" Requital narrowed his eyes, looking at the blueberry man "Requital."

"Yeah I already knew that. But I'm going to call you Requital (Re-quite-al instead of Re-kit-al) Just to piss you off." This was going to be a long few weeks.

From beside him Fatal said, "Majin. Can you take us to the next contact?" oh right. Requital had completly forgot their objective from how annoying the jester was. 

"Ah, of course! But this time I should know where you want to go before opening the-" Suddenly a large gust of wind appeared, knocking Majin to the ground. Requital had to stifle a laugh, untill he looked up to where the force had come from. 

A red ring. Almost like Majin's from earlier, had appeared in the sky above them. He stared at it, before getting snapped out of his daze by Majin. Who sounded... worried. He didn't like that "No.. He's been watching this whole time too. That ring... It's-" 

Fatal cut him off, staring up at the sky "A gateway from his dimension to ours" Requital pulled up his scythe, ready for the battle ahead. "Then he must be trying to get first strike." beside him Sl4sh said, "If that's so then there is no time to waste. Prepared or not, the faux-god has shown his hand. Now, we must play ours."

"So you wish to play the fine game of nil. I'll see you soon."
