“Everyone excited for school tomorrow?” my father, Fleamont, asked us. “Definitely not!” replied James and Sirius at the same time. I was excited though I liked being home, but I was never very welcome anymore.  
“Lyra, are you excited for school?!” my mother Euphemia asked me, annoyed that I hadn’t answered.  
“Yes, defiantly.”  
“You, kid, better get some sleep for school.” So, we all went to sleep, but something felt weird.
