Christoph looked around when he got off the train.

In the few seconds that he had shrugged at the man and squeezed in front, Nefeli had already jumped off the train and disappeared from his sight. For some unknown reason, Christoph felt the urge to speak to her again.

He tapped his feet impatiently as his eyes roamed the busy station until he finally found a dark head, turning from one way to another.

People jostled about, running from one end to another while Nefeli stood stock still in one spot.

"Looking for someone?", asked Christoph softly coming up behind her.

Nefeli whipped around and her eyes widened slightly as she recognized the speaker.

"Uh....yes. My friend said she would pick me up but I can't find her and she isn't responding to my messages. Maybe she isn't here yet.....", trailed off Nefeli.

"Well I could give you a lift if you like", he volunteered.

"That way she can spend more time with me", he thought instinctively. He frowned at his own thoughts.

"No", said Nefeli, a little too quickly. "I mean, I wouldn't want to inconvenience you in any way. I'm sure you must be having plans."

"Well, my plans are to go home and relax but my younger brother seems to have other plans. I am sure he wants to go to some party and he'll find a way to drag me along", said Christoph shrugging.

"You're not a party animal", concluded Nefeli with a soft smile.

Christoph took in the dimple that formed in her right cheek and said with a laugh "No, not really. I would prefer to spend my night at home. Doing something quiet. It has been a long week."

"Yes I guess I'm the same way", replied Nefeli thoughtfully. "Rose for sure will have some plans for this weekend though."

"What did you want to do this weekend?", asked Christoph.

"I actually wanted to do some sightseeing. The museums, the Biodome, and the Basilica", said Nefeli. "Maybe take a walk along the river. I was really looking forward to the museums, I adore museums."

Nefeli's soulful green eyes sparkled as she spoke and Christoph noticed the dimple in her cheek grew deeper.

Christoph stared at her for a while and then said "You're not how I imagined you would be."

Nefeli laughed and said "You're not how I imagined either. You're taller than you look in the meeting."

Christoph laughed loudly and Nefeli joined him. They gazed at each other, their faces wreathed in smiles.

Nefeli looked down at her feet awkwardly to break eye contact.

Christoph opened his mouth to ask her a question when their names were called out. They both turned towards the front of the station.

A woman hurried towards Nefeli, a huge smile on her face while Luke bounded towards Christoph, a similar expression on his face.

"Nefeli! There you are! You won't believe the amount of traffic today!", exclaimed the woman enveloping Nefeli in a bear hug. Like Nefeli, she had dark hair. Though that's where the similarities ended.

Her chestnut hair stopped abruptly at the shoulders and she was dressed in a bright pink top with black shorts and ankle boots with spikes. Her bright blue eyes were rimmed with jet black and her nails matched her top.

"Rose!", said Nefeli, returning the hug. "I thought you had forgotten me!"

The two women engaged in eager conversation with each other.

"Big brother", said Luke, throwing a fraternal arm over Christoph's shoulder. "Considering how miserable your day was, I thought I would pick you up for some fun."

"Luke", muttered Christoph, keeping his eyes fixed on Nefeli.

After a few moments, Nefeli broke away from her friend and took a delicate step towards Christoph, a hesitant smile on her face.

He immediately mirrored her actions.

"Well, my friend's here. I better get going", said Nefeli, slightly uncomfortable.

"Yes, of course, of course", said Christoph. "Umm... well...it was a pleasure to meet you in person finally."

"Yes, likewise", said Nefeli, sticking out her hand once again.

Christoph grasped it and gazed into her deep, green eyes, feeling a sudden unexpected pull.

The two stood staring at each other for a few moments, until Luke walked over to them and cleared his throat.

Nefeli was the first to break eye contact as she snatched her hand back and smiled at Luke.

"Nefeli, this is my younger brother Luke", said Christoph in a slightly exasperated way.

As Nefeli shook hands with Luke, a voice from behind Nefeli said "And I'm Rose."

"Well, we better get going", said Nefeli, turning to Rose after pleasantries were exchanged. The two gave cheery waves before they walked off.

"Who are those two?", asked Luke, the minutes they had left.

"Just acquaintances", said Christoph with a shrug. "I have never met them before today."

"And the one you kept staring at? How do you know her?", asked Luke.

"Again, I don't know her at all. I met her for the first time today....wait, what do you mean I kept staring at her?", demanded Christoph.

"I didn't mean anything", said Luke with a sly smile. "So how do you know her?"

"She's one of the clients", said Christoph.

"Interesting", said Luke.

"What's interesting about that?", snapped Christoph.

"Nothing", said Luke ushering him out of the station. "So, Cami stood you up and ditched you again. Big surprise. But don't worry, I have plans for us this evening."

"Oh Luke", groaned Christoph. "Just one weekend I want to spend doing something quiet without you or Cami dragging me somewhere."

"You can spend next weekend moping but there is a party tonight and I need you as my wingman. Also, what sort of brother would I be if I left you alone after your situationship ditched you?"

"It's not a situationship and she did not ditch me!", Christoph said hotly.

"Yea yea keep telling yourself that", said Luke getting into the car.
