YOH AND SEGASAKI'S KITCHEN - MORNING

(The kitchen is bright and cozy, with sunlight streaming in through the windows. Segasaki is at the stove, cooking breakfast, while Yoh sits at the table, typing on his laptop and occasionally glancing at his phone.)

SEGASAKI  
(Setting plates on the table) 
Breakfast is ready. I made tamagoyaki, your favorite.

YOH  
(Not looking up, distracted) 
Thanks, I'll be right there.

(Segasaki joins Yoh at the table, serving the food. He watches Yoh, who is still typing furiously on his laptop, barely touching his meal.)

SEGASAKI  
(Trying to engage) 
What's on your schedule today? Any plans after work?

YOH  
(Hurriedly) 
Yeah, actually... I have a meeting with the publisher, and then Man-chan and I need to go over some edits. It might run late.

(Segasaki's smile fades a bit, but he tries to stay positive.)

SEGASAKI  
(Concerned) 
You've been working so hard lately. Don't forget to take a break now and then.

YOH  
(Distractedly) 
Yeah, yeah, I will.

(Yoh suddenly checks the time and starts packing up his laptop.)

YOH 
(Cutting the conversation short) 
I should get going. I'll see you tonight.

(Yoh rushes out the door, leaving Segasaki sitting alone at the table, his food barely touched. Segasaki watches the door close, his expression a mix of worry and sadness.)

PUBLISHER'S OFFICE - AFTERNOON

(Yoh enters a sleek, modern office, where his publisher, MR. TAKASHI, is waiting for him. The walls are lined with bookshelves, and framed posters of popular manga series hang on the walls.)

MR. TAKASHI 
(Standing to greet Yoh) 
Yoh, great to see you! Congratulations on the bestseller. You've really captured the audience's attention.

YOH 
(Grinning, shaking hands) 
Thank you! It's been incredible.

MR. TAKASHI 
(Smiling, but serious) 
With success comes new challenges. We need to strike while the iron's hot. I'd like to push for the next volume as soon as possible, and we have a couple of fan events lined up. How soon can you have the next draft ready?

(Yoh hesitates, feeling the weight of the expectations.)

YOH 
(Nervously) 
I'll do my best, but the deadlines are tight. I'll need to balance my time carefully.

MR. TAKASHI 
(Nodding) 
I understand, but the momentum is on our side. We can't afford to slow down now. I'm confident you can handle it.

(Yoh nods, forcing a smile, but inside, he feels the pressure mounting.)

YOH 
(Determined) 
I'll make it work.

(As they discuss further details, Yoh's phone buzzes with notifications, a constant reminder of the growing demands on his time.)

(The apartment is quiet as Yoh opens the front door. He's visibly tired, carrying a bag filled with notes and sketches. The lights in the living room are dim, and Segasaki is sitting on the couch, watching a late-night weather forecast.)

YOH 
(Sighing, exhausted) 
Hey... I'm back.

SEGASAKI 
(Glancing over, trying to sound casual) 
Welcome home. How was the meeting?

YOH 
(Dropping his bag by the door) 
Long. They want the next volume out as soon as possible, so it looks like I'll be busy for a while.

(Yoh collapses onto the couch next to Segasaki, leaning his head back and closing his eyes.)

SEGASAKI 
(Trying to connect) 
You need to rest. You've been working non-stop.

YOH
(Muttering, eyes still closed) 
Yeah... I know.

(There's a brief silence, and Segasaki glances at Yoh, who seems distant and worn out.)

SEGASAKI 
(Gently) 
Do you want to talk about it?

YOH
(Opening his eyes, looking at Segasaki) 
Not tonight... I'm too tired. Can we just... sit here for a while?

(Segasaki nods, but the silence feels heavy. He turns his attention back to the TV, while Yoh stares at the ceiling, lost in thought. The distance between them is palpable, even as they sit side by side.)
