YOH AND SEGASAKI’S HOME - MORNING
(Yoh is rushing around the apartment, trying to get ready for a busy day. His phone buzzes constantly with messages and reminders, adding to the stress. Segasaki is in the kitchen, making coffee. He watches Yoh with a mix of concern and frustration as Yoh barely acknowledges him.)
SEGASAKI
(Trying to stay calm)
Yoh, you should at least have breakfast before you go.
YOH
(Distracted, glancing at his phone)
I’ll grab something on the way. I’m running late.
(Segasaki’s expression hardens slightly. He sets the coffee down and walks over to Yoh, blocking his path just as Yoh is about to rush out the door.)
SEGASAKI
(Firmly)
Yoh, we need to talk.
YOH
(Surprised, looking up)
Talk? Can’t it wait? I’m already late for a meeting.
SEGASAKI
(Serious)
It can’t keep waiting. We’ve been avoiding this for too long.
(Yoh hesitates, caught between his sense of urgency and Segasaki’s intensity. He can see how much this means to Segasaki, but his mind is already at work.)
YOH
(Softening)
Segasaki… I know things have been rough. But I promise we’ll talk tonight, okay? Just let me get through today.
SEGASAKI
(Sighing, stepping back)
Alright… Tonight, then. Don’t forget.
(Yoh gives a quick kiss in Segasaki cheek and rushes out the door, leaving Segasaki standing there, looking frustrated and a little defeated.)

ART STUDIO - LATE AFTERNOON
(Yoh and Man-chan are working on final touches for the next manga installment. The studio is quiet except for the sound of pencils on paper. Yoh is more tense than usual, his mind clearly elsewhere.)
MAN-CHAN
(Casually)
You seem distracted today. Everything okay?
YOH
(Sighing)
It’s Segasaki… He wants to talk, and I keep putting it off. I know he’s upset, but I just don’t have the time right now.
MAN-CHAN
(Thoughtful)
You’ve been under a lot of pressure, Yoh. But maybe it’s time to prioritize that conversation. It sounds like it’s important.
YOH
(Frustrated)
I know, I know… But every time I think I have a moment to breathe, something else comes up.
(Man-chan looks at Yoh with understanding but concern. She knows Yoh is struggling but also sees the importance of the conversation Yoh is avoiding.)
MAN-CHAN
(Gently)
You’re doing great, Yoh. But don’t forget why you started all this in the first place. If Segasaki is that important to you, make time for him.
(Yoh nods, his mind still racing but acknowledging Man-chan’s advice. He knows he needs to face the issue before it spirals out of control.)

YOH AND SEGASAKI’S HOME - NIGHT
(Yoh arrives home late, exhausted from the day’s work. The apartment is dark, and he assumes Segasaki is already in bed. He walks quietly into the living room, only to find Segasaki sitting on the couch, waiting for him.)
YOH
(Surprised)
You’re still up?
SEGASAKI
(Calmly)
We said we’d talk tonight.
(Yoh hesitates, suddenly feeling the weight of the conversation he’s been avoiding. He sits down next to Segasaki, who turns to face him, his expression serious but not angry.)
YOH
(Softly)
I’m sorry I’ve been so distant… I’m just trying to keep up with everything. It’s all happening so fast, and I don’t want to let anyone down.
SEGASAKI
(Sighing)
I understand that, Yoh. But it feels like I’m losing you to your work. We barely talk, and when we do, it’s just about schedules and deadlines. What happened to us?
(Yoh looks down, guilt and frustration swirling inside him. He reaches out, taking Segasaki’s hand in his.)
YOH
(Sincerely)
I don’t want to lose us, Segasaki. I just don’t know how to balance everything. I’m scared that if I slow down, I’ll lose this momentum, and then where will we be?
SEGASAKI
(Softly)
We’ll be right here, Yoh. I’m not going anywhere. But I need you to be here with me, not just physically, but emotionally. If we keep going like this, we’ll lose what we have, and that’s what scares me.
(Yoh tightens his grip on Segasaki’s hand, tears welling up in his eyes as he realizes just how close they’ve come to losing each other.)
YOH
(Tearfully)
I’m so sorry, Segasaki… I’ve been so focused on everything else that I’ve been pushing you away without even realizing it.
SEGASAKI
(Pulling Yoh into an embrace)
It’s not too late, Yoh. We can work through this, but we have to do it together. No more avoiding, no more running away from what’s important.
(Yoh nods against Segasaki’s chest, holding onto him tightly. They stay like that, finding comfort in each other’s arms, knowing they still have a long way to go but also knowing they’re not alone in the journey.)
