YOH AND SEGASAKI'S BEDROOM - MORNING
(The early morning light filters through the curtains. Yoh is still asleep, his face pressed into the pillow, while Segasaki is already dressed, quietly getting ready for work. Segasaki glances at Yoh, his expression soft but tinged with concern. He sits on the edge of the bed, watching Yoh sleep for a moment before gently shaking his shoulder.)
SEGASAKI
(Softly)
Yoh, it's morning. You're going to be late.*(Yoh stirs, groaning as he slowly wakes up. He rubs his eyes, clearly exhausted.)*
YOH
(Mumbling)
What time is it?SEGASAKI
(Calmly)
It's past seven. You need to get up.(Yoh sits up, blinking groggily. He notices Segasaki is already dressed and ready to leave.)
YOH
(Yawning)
You're heading out already?SEGASAKI
(Nods)
Yeah. Early meeting today. I left some breakfast on the table for you.YOH
(Grateful, but distracted)
Thanks... I'll eat it on the go.(Segasaki hesitates, then leans down to kiss Yoh's forehead.)
SEGASAKI
(Sincerely)
Take care of yourself, okay? Don't overwork.YOH
(Smiling weakly)
I'll try.(Segasaki leaves the room, but as he walks away, his expression shifts to one of worry, sensing the growing distance between them. Yoh, now fully awake, grabs his phone and immediately starts checking messages, already pulled back into his work.)

CAFÉ NEAR THE PUBLISHER'S OFFICE - AFTERNOON
(Yoh and Man-chan are sitting at a table in a bustling café, papers and sketches spread out between them. They're deep in conversation, brainstorming ideas for the next manga volume. The café is filled with the chatter of other customers and the sound of clinking cups.)
MAN-CHAN
(Excited)
What if we introduce a new character in this arc? Someone who challenges the protagonist's worldview?YOH
(Nodding thoughtfully)
That could work... It would add a new layer to the story.(As they discuss, Yoh's phone buzzes with a call. He glances at the screen and sees it's Segasaki calling. He hesitates, then declines the call, putting the phone back down.)
MAN-CHAN
(Noticing)
Everything okay?YOH
(Forcing a smile)
Yeah, just Segasaki checking in. I'll call him back later.(Man-chan raises an eyebrow, sensing something is off, but doesn't press further. They dive back into their work, with Yoh's focus clearly on the manga, not realizing how much he's neglecting his relationship.)

YOH AND SEGASAKI'S HOME - EVENING
(The apartment is dark when Yoh finally returns home. He flicks on the lights and notices a note on the kitchen counter. He picks it up and reads it.)
NOTE (in Segasaki's handwriting)
"Went to bed early. Left dinner in the fridge. Hope your day went well. - Segasaki"(Yoh sighs, feeling a pang of guilt. He walks to the fridge, finding the neatly packed dinner Segasaki prepared for him. He warms it up and sits down at the table, eating alone in the quiet apartment. The loneliness and tension are palpable.)
(As Yoh eats, his mind drifts to the moments he's missed with Segasaki recently. He pulls out his phone and scrolls through their recent text messages, noticing how brief and impersonal they've become. The realization hits him, but he's unsure how to fix things.)
(After finishing his meal, Yoh cleans up and heads to the bedroom. He opens the door quietly, finding Segasaki already asleep, curled up under the blankets. Yoh watches him for a moment, a mixture of love and regret on his face.)
YOH
(Whispering to himself)
I'm sorry, Segasaki...(He quietly gets ready for bed and slips under the covers, careful not to wake Segasaki. As he lies there, staring at the ceiling, the weight of their unspoken issues presses down on him. The distance between them has never felt more real.)
