Pink Explosion

CRASH!

Yushi coughed, waving away the smoke in his face. Why was it pink?!

"I think we added too much dye" Riku coughed, going to open the door but Yushi stopped him.

"If we open the door, samchons will see the smoke! How do we explain pink smoke?!" Yushi coughed again. Riku looked back at the door but Yushi was right. They couldn't just explain a bunch of pink smoke away. 

"What is going on here!?" Jeno opened the door. Yushi and Riku froze, the younger of them just now realizing that he was still holding a burnt match in one hand and a match box in the other.

"Um...science experiment?" Riku tried. It was the best he could come up with in just a few seconds. Jeno folded his arms in front of him, not impressed. Yushi glanced at the pink bubbles rising in the sink and smiled innocently, looking back at Jeno. 

"It was an accident, samchon. We didn't mean to make the room pink!" Yushi walked over, hugging Jeno. It was a chance he would have to take, not knowing if his plan would work or just get him in more trouble. 

"You're a terrible liar, Tokuno Yushi" Jeno scolded, popping Yushi on the bottom once. Yushi put his hands back, not really surprised at the admonishment. He had seen it coming. 

"And you...you're his hyung, Maede Riku. You should be setting an example for Yushi, not going along with his crazy ideas" Jeno scolded, holding Yushi's hand and giving the older boy a stern look. Riku flushed red and avoided eye contact. He knew that this was a bad idea when Yushi suggested it to him, but it did sound fun at the time. It didn't sound fun anymore. 

"I'm very disappointed in both of you and I want an explanation now." Jeno demanded, waiting. Yushi and Riku stared at him and then at each other but neither of them talked. 

"Alright. Then we'll talk after your spankings" Jeno caught Riku by the arm, making the kid panic and try to get away.

"Wait, no! We'll talk" Riku pleaded. Jeno let him go.

"We um...we just wanted to do an experiment! Honestly, we didn't think it would turn out like this" Yushi explained. Jeno could tell the kid was being honest. Yushi was good about that.

"You didn't think chemicals and matches would do this? Did you want to make the whole house explode?!" Jeno couldn't help but yell a little bit. The complete idiocy of that statement was baffling to him. The boys were young but not so young that they didn't know the basic science of chemicals and matches together and what would happen.

"We just did what the video told us to do!" Yushi huffed, crossing his arms. He noticed Jeno glaring and dropped his arms back to his side with another dramatic sigh. 

"Show me this video" Jeno demanded. Riku left to get the tablet, pulling up the video and handing it to Jeno. It was quiet for a few moments as Jeno watched it.

"I don't want you boys looking at this channel again. It's not safe" Jeno decided.

"But samchon!" Riku argued, a slight whine in his voice. Jeno gave him a sharp look and Riku went quiet, rolling his eyes.

"Go to your rooms and wait for me. And later you will clean this up" Jeno informed them. Neither of the two boys argued with that; they knew that it was deserved for the mess they had made. They just walked out of the room. Yushi was a little shocked when Jeno stopped him.

"The matches" Jeno waited. Yushi blushed a little, handing over the match box and scurrying away before he could get in more trouble for having them. Jeno let him be for the moment, knowing that there would be time to talk about that later. For now, Jeno just needed advice.
