Chapter 5

ARIA POV

The next morning comes as my alarm blazes in my ear. I get up groaning.

Ugh... I don't wanna go to work today. Get your lazy ass up and make that money, my inner voice says.

I get up and walk to the bathroom and look in the mirror and I internally scream once I see what I look like. OMG I look hideous. I take my clothes off and get in the shower, grabbing my strawberry vanilla body wash and rubbing it all over my body. Feeling the pressure and hot water soothe my tense muscles.

After about 10 minutes I get out of the shower and go to the dresser pulling out my purple lace underwear and then putting on my outfit laid out on the bed for today. I decided to go with my brown and beige plaid skirt paired with a long sleeve beige sweater, brown pea coat, tan tights, and brown heels.

I go downstairs and make myself a light breakfast consisting of a bagel with hazelnut cream cheese and a glass of orange juice. I grab my keys, coat and purse and make my way out the door. Getting settled into my car, I set my things down in the passenger seat and started the car. I start driving towards the office when I get stuck in traffic.

Great now I'm going to be late and I'm sure Aiden will fire me.

As I'm waiting in traffic, I quickly send Isabella a text that I'll be late and ask her if she could let Aiden know that I'll be running behind but that he has a meeting at 8:30am with Alex Windsor from the Windsor Corps.

20 minutes later, traffic finally begins to speed up and I begin damn there speeding to the office. Hopefully I can try to make the meeting before it starts.

10 minutes later I pull into the company garage, rushing out the car and running to the elevator, hurriedly pressing the top floor. As the elevator doors open, I try to rush out but as soon as I step out I instantly bump into Aiden and Mr. Windsor who seemed to be laughing and enjoying the time. I immediately help them and apologize repeatedly.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Aiden and Mr. Windsor I didn't mean to be late, it was traffic and I didn't mean to bump into ya'll, just a lot goin—--" I'm stopped by Aiden.

"Aria, it's fine me and Alex here decided to have our meeting early and decided to partner together on a project. Also I understand that traffic sometimes can be a bit much. But I do need you to organize some files for my next meeting at 1:30pm, and that'll be all for now" Aiden says, looking at me with this intense look in his eye.

For some reason I couldn't stop staring at Aiden, he was so gorgeous. I can only dream of being with someone like him. I mentally sigh. I finally stop staring and head to work.

I walk around them and start towards the filing room, but just then I realize that I have no idea where the filing room is. I then see Liam at the end of the hallway about to turn the corner and run after him.

After a couple of seconds of almost dying, I reach him by putting my hand on his shoulder to get his attention. Wow, I really need to start going back to the gym. I finally catch my breath.

"Hey Aria, why are you so out of breath?" Liam says chuckling.

"Well I was trying to catch you, but you walk so freakin' fast." I say breathlessly.

"Anyways, I was hoping you could show me where the filing room is." I smile at him.

Liam responds "Of course, come on, it's on my way." He smiles back.
