Third Pov:

It had been another 2 weeks and the mandrakes were finally fully mature. Right now Harry sits silently at Hermione's bedside holding her cold stiff hand. Harry was alone in the hospital wing as he sent the house elves away giving them a break not to mention he wanted privacy with Hermione so they were the only ones since all the other petrified victims were all awakened and gone. Harry did not like how Hermione's hand felt, it felt so stiff as well as cold. He knew she was alive but even then he didn't like it. It had been 9 weeks since she was attacked and Harry had come to realize he had fallen in love with his brilliant brown hair muggle-born female best friend. When growing up Harry never really was shown signs of love the only examples he knew were from the music he heard, some books he read, some movies he watched, his ancestor's memories that he was able to see through thanks to the sorting hat, and the memories of how his parents acted with each other when they were alive.  It was thanks to the books, movies, his ancestor Salazar's memories, and his memories as a baby of his parents that he knew that he had romantic feelings for Hermione. Though he is not completely sure if it is true love he is only 12 after all but Harry does at the very least know that out of all the girls in Hogwarts Hermione is the one who Harry fancies. Though Harry truly does not know when he fell for the young brilliant brown-hair muggle-born whenever it was he was glad for it.  After all, Hermione is the only girl in the school who sees him as just Harry, not the boy who lived and she is the only one who has stood by him through all the hell that he deals with at Hogwarts staying by his side ever since he saved her from the troll.

Hermione does so much for him and there have been many times Harry can't help but feel that he doesn't deserve her. Ever since Hermione was attacked and his adventure down into the chamber Harry couldn't help but reflect on everything. It was through reflection that Harry realized he and Ron have always seemed to take Hermione for granted in some way or another. It was still early morning the sun was only just starting to peak in through the windows as it continues to slowly rise. Harry took a deep breath calming his nerves. Harry didn't know if Hermione could hear him but nonetheless, whenever he snuck into the hospital wing to be by her bedside he would hold her hand and talk with her as if she could. Harry used this to practice everything he wanted to tell Hermione when she woke up. He tells her how to do Occlumency and gives her advice on some defenses just after he woke up from his chamber adventure before he had been discharged by Pomfrey. Other things were her habits that he had been meaning to discuss like her academic competitive side, a bit of his home life at the Dursleys but never going into deep detail, and he even talked about things he had been doing every day by helping his roommates besides Ron. Other things he talks about are his lack of trust in the staff especially Dumbledore, his relation to Slytherin, seeing through the dark lord's memories, and what had really happened down in the chamber. The nights he would talk to Hermione while he held her hand sitting by her hospital bedside he told her almost everything however he did keep some of the things he suffered with the Dusleys a secret never going into detail there and he also kept some other things close to the vest as he is not completely ready to tell Hermione even if she was petrified and couldn't hear everything, in fact, Harry was not ready to tell anyone everything besides his owl Hedwig. Harry was extra careful to not go into complete detail with anything he vented in case Hermione could hear him. If she couldn't then he was able to vent and also practice what to tell her which is a win-win.
