Chapter XIII: The Past

Mitch's POV:

11 months had passed since Callie confessed to my sister. I can see how much she improved physically and emotionally, and even mentally. She's getting better at managing Life lately and I couldn't be more proud of her.

I'm grateful that she's finally had someone that loves her genuinely, kitang-kita naman ang glow ni ate ever since naging sila ni Callie. I'm currently out with Stelle right now, she's shopping and I never thought it would be this boring, ako oa pinagdala ng mga shopping bags niya, galing talaga.

"Mitch hurry up, I'm not going to wait for you." She said while I was still doing my business inside the cubicle.

"Stop rushing me, umiihi pa yung tao eh." I bluntly responded and stood up and flushed the toilet.

Pagkalabas ko naman ay bumungad ang nakabusangot niyang mukha. I raised my eyebrows and looked at her. "Why that face?" I asked.

"Nakakabadtrip kasi si Jia, message ng message pinapakuha sakin yung credentials niya sa school." She scoffed and rolled her eyes, her banter never really stops, if hindi nila bukambibig ang isa't-isa, magkaaway naman sila.

"Oh? I don't see any problem with that." Sagot ko naman habang naghuhugas ng kamay.

"Anong walang problema? Ang kapal ng mukha niyang magpabili ng pagkain sakin after niya i-seen lang yung message ko eh importante 'yon!" Tumaas naman ang boses niya kaya medyo nagulat ako. "Calm down, geez hindi naman ako si Jianna."

"Well be grateful you're not, kasi kung makikita ko lang ang mukha niya, magdasal na sya sa mga santo or what!" She stormed off the bathroom. I sighed and wiped my hands dry and followed her. Just when I was about to turn around the corner, I bumped into someone.

"Sorry, you okay?" Tanong ko naman habang tinutulungan siyang ligpitin yung mga gamit niya.

"Yeah I'm fin-"

"Mitch?"

"Arreana?"

We both said in unison, it's been a while since I last saw her face. Like, as in sobrang tagal na. 11 months na rin since the last time I saw her.

"Oh my god, this is so unexpected I-" she paused and looked at me, I met her gaze. "I'm so happy to see you again!" She continued and smiled and hugged me.

I reciprocated the hug, it's been a while and I kind of miss her na rin. "I'm happy to see you again, too." I responded and smiled as we both pulled away from our hug.

"Look, Mitch as much as I want to catch up with you, I can't since may gagawin pa ako, so, see you around?" Sambit niya naman at tumango naman ako. "Sure, sure, it was nice meeting you." Sagot ko naman at agad naman sya naglakad papaalis.

"Ugh, asan na ba yung babaeng 'yon?" I muttered to myself and pulled my phone out to message her.

Agad naman akong pumunta sa tapat ng watsons, I quickly spotted the two arguing again. As usual, ever since the two met, their relationship was on and off, sometimes they're sweet to esch other, sometimes malapit na magpatayan, and sometimes, it's just pure love and sweet moments. In short, Love and hate kind of tandem.

"Ano ba hindi nga kasi ako yon!" I heard the two arguing.

"Wow, are you trying to tell me na I'm making this up?!" Stelle responded, I rushed to the two of them and separated them.

"Why are you both arguing? Para kayong bata." Sambit ko naman, Stelle rolled her eyes at me and scoffed.

"Why are you both arguing na naman ba?" Tanong ko, "eh paano kasi 'yan si Stelle, hindi makaintindi hindi naman ako yung nagsabi na nakauwi na si Arreana." Jia defended herself from the accusations. Stelle explained na surprise daw yung pagdating ulit ni Arreana kaya dapat walang makakaalam.
