Lando's POV

The winter break was supposed to be a time to unwind and let go of the pressures of the racing season, but I couldn't stop thinking about Cordelia. It was frustrating, really. I was used to getting what I wanted without much effort, but she was different—she kept me on my toes, and I couldn't get her out of my head.

I was sitting in the living room of the airb&b we have rented, the Christmas tree glowing warmly in the corner. Everyone else was out enjoying the festivities, but I had stayed behind, too distracted to join in. Instead, I found myself scrolling through Instagram, trying to find a way to connect with her.

Cordelia had been so guarded, keeping her distance even though I knew she felt something too. I had to find a way to get closer, to show her that I was serious. As I scrolled through my feed, an idea struck me. The private airline we flew with had an Instagram account, and I knew they often tagged their crew in posts. Maybe, just maybe, I could find her there.

I quickly searched for the airline's account and started going through their posts. It didn't take long to find a few pictures where she was tagged—photos from the flights we'd taken together. I clicked on her profile, my heart speeding up as her name popped up on the screen: Cordelia Halstead.

Her account was private, of course. I wouldn't have expected anything less from someone as cautious as Cordelia. But even with just her profile picture, I was reminded of how stunning she was. There was something about her that was so captivating, something that went beyond her looks.

Frustrated by the lack of information, I decided to go through the posts she'd been tagged in. Each photo, each snippet of her life made me more intrigued. She was beautiful, sure, but there was more to her than that. There was a depth, a mystery, and I wanted to unravel it.

I hesitated for a moment, my thumb hovering over the message button. Should I text her? Would I come off as too pushy? But then I remembered her last reply—she hadn't said no. She was thinking about it, and that was enough of an opening for me.

Taking a deep breath, I typed out a message.

Lando: "Hey, Cordy. Hope you're enjoying your break. Any chance you've thought more about that dinner? :)"

I hit send and stared at the screen, waiting for a reply. It didn't come right away, and for a moment, I felt a pang of disappointment.

Cordelia's POV

Winter break had arrived, and instead of feeling the usual relief that came with time off, I was a bundle of nerves. The peaceful, festive season only seemed to amplify the thoughts swirling in my mind, all of them centering around Lando Norris. Ever since our last flight, where his flirtations had become more pointed, I couldn't shake the memory of his playful grin or the intensity in his eyes. He was charming, undeniably so, but there was an undercurrent to our interactions that left me feeling both intrigued and wary.

Curled up on my plush sofa, I sipped a cup of tea, trying to let the warmth and holiday ambiance soothe my restless mind. The twinkling lights from the Christmas tree cast a cozy glow around my living room, but even the familiar comfort of my space couldn't distract me from the turmoil inside. I had always been strict about maintaining professional boundaries, especially with clients like Lando—famous, charismatic, and far too used to getting what they wanted. But there was something about him that was different, something that made it difficult to keep my guard up.

Setting my tea down, I stared out the window at the bustling London streets below. The festive cheer that filled the air only served to highlight my internal conflict. The truth was, I didn't trust easily, and with someone like Lando, I was even more cautious. His reputation as a ladies' man was well-known, and the last thing I wanted was to become just another conquest. Yet, there was no denying the thrill that shot through me whenever I thought of him.
