"Are you cold?" he asked as they sat quietly on the roof of the Rest Stop, looking down at the city that was glowing with many Christmas lights in the dark.

Calypso shook her head. "A little, but I've gotten used to it."

She was used to endless heat and the sun that burned her skin all day. Before she was imprisoned on Ogygia, she remembered snow and winter, but it had been so long, and she certainly didn't think she'd ever see it again.

"I'm sorry you missed Christmas last year," she said after a moment.

Leo looked at her, confused. "Oh, that's okay. If only you knew how many Christmases I've missed-"

"Right!" She bit her lip and rubbed her forehead while Leo stared at her silently. After a moment, he sighed in amusement and leaned in so close that it made her head spin.

"I don't think I mind missing Christmas last year. In fact, I think it was nice."

She snorted and played with the zipper of her pink ski jacket. "Tell me what you thought was nice. The fighting? The endless running? Oh no, don't tell me that Apollo-"

He laughed and put an arm around her shoulders. "I admit, last year wasn't ideal, and it was pretty fast-paced and full of danger, but I never felt as good as I did when I was with you."

Calypso stared at him, surprised. She knew Leo was terribly romantic. So it was clear that what he said just now pleasantly surprised her.

She blushed and lowered her eyes. "Wow, who would have thought you were such a romantic?"

Leo grinned and leaned in even closer. It was already so cold that warm puffs of air were coming from their mouths, the cold spreading through her body despite the layers of thick fabric, but she didn't care. She felt as if a new sense of warmth was blossoming in her chest.

"Did you really say that? Did you admit that I'm a romantic?"

"No! Forget it."

Leo grinned widely and was about to say something but was interrupted.

Calypso gasped and looked up at the sky. "Snow," she smiled.

Her friend nodded and smiled affectionately.

"What?" she asked, confused, as a few bright white flakes landed in her hair.

"Nothing. I'm just glad you like it and you're so..."

She lightly punched his arm, but wrinkled her nose and laughed. She wished this moment would never end. She could sit here with Leo as long as possible and be content.

Leo rubbed his arm but kept smiling.

"You know how strong you are, sunshine? It's not fair."

Calypso couldn't help but laugh. "Well, someone has to have muscles if you don't."

Leo dramatically clutched his chest, and she noticed her friend trying not to laugh. "That hurt, honey."

Calypso rolled her eyes and rubbed her cold hands. She would never say it out loud, but Leo had gained some strength during his work. She breathed into her hands and looked at the glowing city in front of her. Leo glanced at her briefly before taking her hands into his surprisingly warm palms.

"Your hands are cold."

"Good observation," she said with a smile. She enjoyed his warmth. She looked up at him, and her smile widened. "Leo, your nose..."

Leo groaned and snuffed out the flames on his nose with his hand. Then he smiled. "You can always warm me up, sunshine."
