CHAPTER 5

Chapter 5: knight

Kasalukuyan akong nakahiga sa kama at nalulutang, I don't even know if I'll continue solving my own death or I'll make a way out of this book. I get off feeling stressed, natigilan lang ako nang may mabasa sa dyaryo.

"Aiah.. when is this?" I asked her while showing the newspaper.

"Oh the kingdom fight? It's today, if I'm not mistaken.. it's where the most powerful knights and some confident commoners of the kingdom fight, for the position of a high knight. It's also a gambling place, lady.." mahabang paliwanag nito. 'a tournament huh?'

"Prepare the carriage, I want to watch the fight." Hindi ito makapaniwala na tumingin sa akin.

"Are you sure lady Cassandra?"

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Tinaasan ko ito ng kilay kaya napa kamot nalamang siya sa batok.

I wore an elegant light blue, royal blue and white dress paired with white thin gloves, a pair of light blue heels and a sun hat. Aiah also braided my hair and put a blue ribbon.

Maglalakad palang sana ako papasok ng office no Arius nang biglang magsalita ang isa sa mga butlers nito.

"His grace is currently on a business project, lady.. He was about to inform you a while ago, but you were resting." His voice is full of softness, simpleng tango lang ang ginawa ko.

"Then inform him that I went to the kingdom battle field." Magsasalita pa sana ito but I cut him off by raising my hand then walking away.

"Aiah let's go" tawag ko rito bago pumasok sa karwahe. Ilang minuto lang ang naging byahe namin bago kami nakarating.

The outside looks ginormous, the walls are colored light brown with a European structural style and every inch of it is well detailed. It looks old but it doesn't look new either..

Pagkabungad namin sa entrance ay rinig na ang hiyawan ng tao. It's a gambling place after all.. my gaze room around the battlefield, sobrang daming tao sa arena.

"Greetings my lady, but are you somehow lost?" Nilingon ko ang boses sa aking tabi. It was a middle aged guy wearing an old type of long sleeves and a brown hat.

"I'm not lost Mr. In fact, I was looking for the entrance." Hindi ako ngumiti at pinagmasdan lamang ito.

"Are you here to gamble?" I smirked which made him froze.

"I'm buying a knight. I want the strongest one" I demand, he looked at me with disbelief.

"That's not how the rules work, my lady. You can pick a fighter to gamble but you can't buy a knight nor a commoner once it wins." My smirk faded kaya naman natigilan ito.

"A thousand of gold for the best man you have." May diin ang bawat salita ko, tumingin siya sa sakong ng ginto sa aking tabi. "That's my first and final offer" Hindi ko na hinintay ang sasabihin nito at umalis na. Aiah searched for a seat, and I ended up sitting at the highest floor of the arena, kitang kita ang mga kaganapan.

Natigilan ako sa panonood nang may makita akong lalake, medyo bata pa ito na nasa tansya ko ay mas matanda lamang saakin ng ilang taon. He wasn't as masculine as the other fighters na kulang nalang ay pumutok ang mga muscles sa katawan, but even though his aura is the most powerful and intimidating one. He walked into the battlefield with full authority.

The whole crowd cheered "I want that guy" bulong ko na satingin ko ay dinig naman ni Aiah. Kinuha ko ang mga papel sa tabi ko at hinanap ang sa lalakeng iyon.. I scanned his information na pinakuha ko bago paman kami makarating dito. Chaos huh..
