Jungkook was walking through the field to where his house was. Their house, their home, their safe place, filled with love and laughter and happiness. But now she is gone...has been for four years already. He sometimes had to really concentrate to remember all her features. Her black hair, green eyes, soft mouth, that was always curled up into a smile. You could not mistake that she and Hobi were family.

He stopped in front of the garden gate, staring at the house. It wasn't home anymore, it was just bricks and mortar, an empty shell where laughter will never ring again.

He walked through the gate, his steps taking him to the front door. His eyes burned as he saw the nameplate she made, with the flowers and butterflies painted on the wood. The words in curly letters The Jeons – where love will always live

Where love will always live... not anymore, because she was gone, Jeon Soo-hee was gone. His love was gone, forever.

Gulping against the pain in his heart, he opened the door. The little house was clean and neat. Jin hyung said he himself came once a month to make sure it was clean. To be ready for when Jungkook returns.

But Jungkook didn't want to stay here anymore, his life was not here. It was just a house.

He walked through the rooms, taking in the little details of Soo-hee. Her little touches visible everywhere.

Her presence was still felt.

Jungkook knew he had to let go, but it was hard. They were together for 10 years, since they were 15 years old.

The accident happened just a week after their 5th bonding anniversary. They found out Soo-hee was pregnant with their first born just a short 9 weeks before that.

They were so excited, to be parents. And then the accident... And Soo-hee and their little one were gone. Never to return.

For once, Jungkook didn't fight against the tears, he let the sobs escape from his body, ripping open the festering wound on his heart. He screamed, he punched and threw anything and everything.

After almost 15 minutes, he fell to his knees, sobbing softly, tears dripping from his chin and the tip of his nose.

He curled himself into a foetal position, laying on the ripped bed cover, and he fell in an exhausted sleep.

Jungkook felt familiar hands running through his hair, calming the storms in his mind, like only she could. Oh, how he missed those touches, her smell, the feel of her skin on his. "Jungkook, my love, why are you doing this to yourself? You promised me you will live; you will find love again; you will not give up. And now? You are wasting away, you are not keeping your promise, bunny. I will now take matters into my own hands. If I leave this to you, you will never laugh again, you will never love or live."

Jungkook wanted to open his eyes, to look at his beautiful wife, but his eyes refused to work. The magic of the fingers on his scalp quickly calmed him again, pulling him into a deep slumber.

"There will always be a corner of your heart reserved just for me and our munchkin, but you have a big heart, with so much love to give, I will not let it go to waste. I may be your first love, but there is a second chapter for you written in the stars. Just open your heart, your eyes and your mind. Grab your second chance Jungkook. I will always love you, bunny. But now, it is time for you to take the step forward. And if you are stubborn? I will just have to give you a push..."

Hours later, Jin walked into Jungkook's house, finding the man still asleep on the floor on the ripped blanket. The house looked like a tornado went through it. Eunwoo told Jin that he heard the screams and stuff breaking, but as Jin told him before, just observe, do not interfere.

Jin sat down next to Jungkook, looking at the peacefully sleeping man. Finally, he was sleeping, no thrashing and sweating and nightmares...peaceful sleep.

Jungkook opened his eyes, seeing the first rays of sunlight pouring through the window. WTH! He slept through the whole night? No nightmares? He replayed the night in his mind, Soo-hee, she came...

"Morning Kook..." Jungkook whipped his head around, finding Jin sitting on the only whole chair in the bedroom. "Hi hyung. How long since you came?" His voice was hoarse from all the screaming and crying.

"I came about 11 last night, found you fast asleep in this chaos. So, I stayed with you. Thinking you might need some company when you wake up"

"Thanks hyung...the others..."

"Only me, Kook. I told them to give you space, which of course they didn't want to do, but you know me... (a soft laugh) they listened soon enough."

Jungkook agreed, yes, his Jin hyung could be scary.

He got to his feet, looking around, seeing the carnage he caused. He ruined their house...

"We will clean it later Kook, come to our home now first, time for food. And I am sure the others are quite frantic already."

They walked back in silence, each in their own thoughts.

As the entered the Big House, Yoongi and Hobi quickly came over, hugging their friend.

"We were really worried Kook, you just left. Are you ok?" Hobi asked with a frown, worry all over his face.

"I am fine Hobi. But I...mmm...I really messed up my house."

"That is fine, we will all help to get it sorted out again, no worries. We will make it the same as before" Yoongi asked, looking at his friend

"Maybe...we will see..."

They three decided to go to their places of work, get a little sense of normalcy back in their lives.

The heat of the fires and the sound of hammer on iron brought the rhythm of forging swords back to Jungkook, and he enjoyed the routine again, the pride of taking a lump of steel and forge it into a fine blade.

A few weeks passed, Jungkook not returning to house again, he stayed with Hobi and sometimes Yoongi, or at the Big House.

Jin took it on himself to repair the damage to the house as much as he could. Some furniture and plates however were lost in the chaos. The ripped curtains were carefully stitched and rehung. The bedding, well, fortunately there was a spare set.

Hobi and Yoongi loved getting back to what they loved as well, Hobi of course flirting with anything that moved, but the others knew him like that, and was all in good fun. His sunshine personality and warm smile made even the dreariest day light up.

Yoongi being Yoongi, he worked hard, horses were his passion. The discipline needed to train them was soothing, everything working in harmony as it should.

The weeks turned into a month. Jungkook was working, keeping to himself as much as he could, still no emotion really, but for now, he didn't want to leave again.
