I marched through the grand corridors, ignoring the ornate decorations and luxurious surroundings that had once seemed so inviting. The staff, ever attentive and polite, greeted me with warm smiles as I passed. I forced myself to return their greetings, my voice tight with barely concealed anger. I couldn't afford to let them see the storm brewing inside me-not yet.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Valeria," one of them said, offering a respectful nod.

"Afternoon," I replied, my tone polite but clipped. They didn't need to know the turmoil raging within me, the betrayal that twisted in my gut like a knife. I kept my pace steady, purposeful, as I approached his office.

As I neared the door, my anger simmered just beneath the surface, threatening to boil over. I pushed it open, stepping inside without knocking. There he was, standing in the lobby of his office, speaking with a few of his associates. They all turned to look at me as I entered, their conversation halting at my sudden arrival.

Rafel's eyes met mine, and for a split second, I saw something flash in his gaze-was it concern? Fear? Whatever it was, it was gone in an instant, replaced by his usual composed expression.

"Everyone, leave us," Rafel commanded, his voice calm yet authoritative. There was no hesitation from the others; they quickly gathered their things and exited the room, leaving us alone.

As soon as the door closed behind them, I didn't wait another second. With a sharp, furious motion, I threw the photos and file at him, the papers scattering in the air like a storm of shattered trust. The images of my life, my past, and his betrayal fluttered to the ground around him, some hitting him squarely in the chest before landing at his feet.

"How could you?"

I hissed, my voice shaking with the intensity of my emotions.

"How could you do this to me?"

Rafel's mask of calm slipped for just a moment as he looked down at the photos, then back up at me. But I didn't care about his reaction-I only cared about the truth, and the truth was laid bare before us in those scattered pieces of my life. I waited, breathless and enraged, for him to explain, to say something that could make sense of this nightmare.

But deep down, I knew no explanation could ever undo the damage he'd done. The betrayal cut too deep, the wound too raw.

"Care to explain What the fuck is this ?"

The moment the photos and papers hit the floor, the room seemed to freeze, the tension thick and suffocating. My chest heaved with the effort to hold back the flood of emotions, but the rage boiling inside me was too much to contain.

"How could you?" I spat, my voice trembling with fury.

"You lied to me, Rafel! You used me! All this time, I thought I could trust you, but you were just playing me like a fool!"

Rafel's eyes darkened, his calm exterior cracking under the weight of my words. "Valeria, you don't understand-"

"Don't you dare tell me I don't understand!" I cut him off, my voice rising.

"I've seen the truth! Those photos, the files, everything-they're all proof of your betrayal. You knew everything about me, every detail of my life, and you used it to control me. Why, Rafel? Why did you do this?"

He took a step forward, his face hardening. "It's not what you think. I had to protect you-"

"Protect me?" I laughed bitterly, the sound harsh and cold.
.
"Is that what you call this? A torture chamber hidden beneath your home? My past laid out like a dossier? That's not protection, Rafel-that's manipulation, and it's sick."

His jaw clenched, his voice dropping low and dangerous.

"You don't know the full story, Valeria. There are things I've done, yes, but everything I did was to keep you safe, to keep us safe."

"Us?" I echoed, incredulous.

"There is no us! Not after this. You've destroyed everything with your lies. You made me believe in you, in us, and now I see it was all just a game to you. Was any of it real? Did you ever care, or was I just another pawn in your twisted world?"

His silence was deafening, and it cut through me like a blade. I wanted him to deny it, to tell me I was wrong, but he didn't. Instead, he stood there, his expression unreadable, and that only fueled my anger.

"Say something!" I demanded, my voice breaking as the anger mixed with the pain of betrayal. "Tell me why I shouldn't walk out of here and never look back."

Rafel's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze intense and unyielding.

"Because, Valeria," he began, his voice low but firm, "you and I are bound by something far deeper than trust or lies. You can walk away if you want, but know that everything I've done was for you-for us. You're in this now, whether you like it or not."

His words sent a shiver down my spine, the truth in them undeniable. But that didn't make the betrayal any less painful. I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms as I fought the urge to scream.

"You think that justifies what you've done?"

I whispered, my voice trembling.

"You've taken everything from me-my trust, my faith in you. You've shattered it all."

Rafel took another step closer, his presence overwhelming, but I didn't back down. "You can hate me all you want," he said, his voice was like steel,

"but that doesn't change the fact that you're mine, Valeria. And I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe, even if it means you hating me for the rest of your life."

I stared at him, my heart aching with the weight of his words. The anger still burned hot within me, but beneath it all was a deep, painful realization-despite everything, despite the lies and the manipulation, a part of me still cared. And that was the cruelest betrayal of all.

I couldn't stand to hear any more, the weight of his words too much for me to bear. My chest felt tight, my emotions swirling in a chaotic storm of hurt, anger, and something else I couldn't name. Without another word, I turned on my heel, my only thought being to get out of that room, away from him, before I completely fell apart.

But just as I reached the door, his hand shot out, grabbing my arm with a firm grip. The suddenness of it made me gasp, and I froze, my breath catching in my throat.

"Valeria, don't," Rafel said, his voice no longer pleading but commanding, laced with a desperation that I had never heard from him before. "You can't just walk away. Not like this."

He had me against the wall and him. Pinned with no where to escape at all.

"There is no corner of this world Valeria where I won't find you."

"Fuck off before I bite you and give you ANOTHER fucking scar"

Corner of his lips lifted up as he leaned down his lips brushing my ear shell and whispered in his Thick italian accent

"We both know...My scars gets you hot Little flower"

My breath hitched at the mention of that Nick name and that confirmed it. He was the one stalking me..Behind the disappearance of Mike and Bianca getting shot. Every dot is connecting, how come I never realised that I received texts whenever I saw seen with guy but the stalker never messaged me when I was with Rafel. It was him all along.
