The rain fell in torrents, drenching the parched earth below. The young warrior's feet pounded the earth, his eyes wide with terror, he raced towards the Shadow Clan's border, seeking safety from the threat that pursued him. Matthew's presence lingered a few steps behind. "There's no use in running." His voice held a chilling authority as he spoke. As the Matthew closed in, the warrior's feet lost their grip on the treacherous, waterlogged terrain, sending him hurtling to the ground in a desperate bid to evade capture. Matthew's knuckles whitened as he clutched the collar of his uniform, his gaze piercing the man's eyes like daggers. "Consider your options carefully," Matthew said, his voice a chilling caress. "Your lips remain sealed, or I'll sever the lifeline that whispers through your veins." He warned. With a fierce glare, the warrior's eyes blazed with a mixture of anger and fear as he locked gazes with Matthew. "You bastard." He growled. "Once I alert the leaders of this, they'll-" the warrior was cut off by a fierce slap to the face. "The leaders won't know a damn thing if you're dead." Matthew snapped in response.
With an uncanny grace, Matthew's blade descended upon the warrior's throat like a ravenous bird of prey, tearing open a chasm of silence as the lifeblood ebbed away. With a careless thud, Matthew cast aside the warrior's body, leaving the rain to claim his spirit.
