I rush to class as soon as the siren wails. It has always been my habit to arrive 10 minutes earlier before classes presume so that; I settle in and recap the notes from my previous lesson. Yes I'm a geek, quite the person whom would prefer reading other than engage in chit chats.

I know I should have done the same today more especially that I'm a bit behind with the syllabus. Obliviously I got a little carried away by the conversation with Tiffany and Evelyn, now regretfully I'm starting to wonder what they were doing there in the first place.

Making my way into the tidy small classroom I'm quick to notice the amusing array of our brown wooden tables. They have been arranged in pairs all the way to the back such that my classmates sit in a boy girl pattern. For goodness sake, I thought we had left this for the primary school kids. For how many schools do teachers entertain this boy-girl sitting arrangement?

"Hurry up girls, find a boy to sit next to." A polite voice commands and the woman waves us in. It's that friendly old looking woman from the school tour only that this time around she's dressed modestly and has a medium length wig on.

"Mrs. Anale never ceases to amaze me." Tiffany murmurs from behind.

"Oh no don't tell me we'll be sitting like this forever," I say flatly.

"You will get used to it," Tiffany says.

In the thought of sitting next to a boy I drag my feet while I reluctantly scan for a kind friendly looking individual to sit next to. This arrangement irritates me, more so that I have never got to understand the moral story behind it. However I secretly wish I sit next to Piet. Yes! Piet, I don't why but this absurd sitting arrangement would then finally make sense.

"Shut up!" Tiffany exclaims in amazement. Before I even turn over my shoulder to witness what she is exclaiming to, she is already irritably poking me.

"Oh my god tell me his going to be our new teacher," she says whilst pulling me by my hand.

"What are you talking about?" I ask turning to her hesitantly.

"I totally get you are a two-goody shoes or whatsoever but how can you not see that Cat!" Tiffany points out to a man besides Mrs. Anale.

I roll my eyes doubting her claim to understand. Maybe I shouldn't have disclosed my non existing love life yet.

"Oh my god I should go say hi!" She says with excitement placing her hand against her chest.

"Do you mention I should tie you on a leash?" I say amused to her behavior.

"Be my guest," She agrees openly. "Now look at him!"

I do as she says, I glance at the man besides Mrs. Anale. He now leans forward over the table, his pale face looking down onto some papers his scrabbling on.
Mrs.Anale obstructs my view as she blushs whilst whispering something to his pointish ears.

"I can't see him clearly." I shrug to Tiffany who scowls.

Without wasting a minute I maneuver to the tables at the far corner of the classroom leaving Tiffany to stand there and admire whoever that is alone. Thinking about it now I can not believe Tay talked me into standing in the middle of class to admire a man stranger. I have less than a week here and I'm already acting crazy, should I be worried?

A boy sleeps on his crossed hands resting on top of the desk when I reach the table. His facing the clear window his back to the room so I take a sit next to him without disturbing.

Looking up from the books I placed on my desk, a profile of a young man stands before the class.

Tiffany who's now sitted in front of me turns quickly and asks me to look at him more closely.
