Y/n felt wind caressing her cheeks, it was relaxing. The wind wasn't too cold, but not too hot at the same time.
A light sunbeam was kissing her eyelids, making her slowly opening her eyes. The brightness of her surroundings took her some seconds to adapt her vision, slowly allowing her to distinguish the room she was in.
Her heart skipped a beat when she realized that she wasn't in her bedroom, not even in a room, but in a tiny parking area.
Rising her head, she looked around her and realized that she was previously laying on the legs of Akaashi, who was peacefully sleeping, making littles snores. They were on a bench, in front of the small grocery store of the village. Akaashi had the luck to be hide from the morning sun by the shadow of a panel on his side, unlike her.
The tips of her lips lightly curved themselves upwards, and a small blush appeared when she realized that she had fell asleep on her friend.
Since then, she hadn't really realized how pretty he was, she knew that he could be considered 'pretty' but she thought at this exact instant that he was way more than just pretty. He was breath taking, stunning, gorgeous, or even more, but she couldn't find a word strong enough to describe it.
She never had the opportunity to be friend with a boy, her mom being the cause. She always made sure y/n wouldn't befriend a boy or get close to one of them, why ? Y/n didn't really know, but she ended up thinking it was because of her father. Indeed, her father left her mother alone with a two years old to raise, saying that he wasn't prepared to be a father. He disappeared overnight one day and since, never gave any news to his daughter or ex-wife.
Her mother never forgave her father, and she never managed to get over it. And, as weirdly as it may seem, it feels like y/n's mother blamed her for the departure of her father. Not explicitly, of course, but she always made sure to remind y/n that he left because he didn't want to be HER father, and that before her birth, they were the happiest couple on earth.
Y/n really admired the woman her mother was, she was strong, she raised a child all by herself, she was successful in her job, had lots of friends. She was funny, kind, extroverted.
But y/n also deeply hated the mother she was, she never played with y/n during her childhood, always had something negative to say even if her daughter was just craving her validation. She was always working, letting y/n all by herself at home.
Y/n was always the last child to be picked up from school. Sometimes, the teacher was even forced to call her mom to make sure she didn't forget that she had a child to pick up.But, some nights, when y/n couldn't manage to find sleep, she could hear her mother crying from her bedroom. And every time she could hear her crying, she remembered what her mother told her one time, when she came home a bit drunk after a night out:
"I think my parents never really loved me, I noticed it when they forgot my 9th birthday but throw a giant party for my sister's 6th two months later. I always knew deep down that your grandparents preferred your aunt"
And she would start crying too, remembering that her mother was just a human, she was just a woman who was abandoned by the love of her life with their child, she was just a child who was craving attention from her parents. And you know what they say, parents do to their children what their parents did to them.
The ring of the bell of the church woke y/n up from her overthinking. It rung 6 times, meaning it was 6am, and right then y/n realized something, she wasn't home, and if her mother discovered that she wasn't home, she was going to kill her.
Immediately, y/n gently shook Akaashi to wake him up, he made a small grunt and slightly opened his eyes. When he saw y/n looking directly in his eyes with a frightened face, he furrowed his brows and rose up, adjusting himself and leaning on his forearms.
"What is going on ?" He said, with a tint of confusion in his voice. He looked around him before understanding why y/n was in this state, they were on a bench in the village. "What are we doing here ?"
"I don't know, I guess we fell asleep last night while we were looking at the stars." She quietly said, but gasped, remembering why she woke keiji up. "It's 6am, I need to go home right now or my mom will kill me."
Akaashi slightly chuckled and stood up "let's go then" he said while holding his hand toward her as an offer to help her get up.
She shyly smiled, blushing a bit, and accepted his hand.
While they were walking, Akaashi did not let go of her hand, y/n find it odd and was a bit embarrassed because she never held hand with a boy, but she thought that it was only a friendly gesture, even though, deep inside her, she hoped it meant more to him than a 'friendly act'.
"Hey I wanted to ask you" the boy said, turning his head toward her.
She turned her head as well, looking at him waiting for him to continue
"My mom won two free places to the movie theater" he used his free hand to rub the back of his neck awkwardly, looking away from her. "Do you want to come with me tonight ? You can choose the movie if you want."
Y/n immediately smiled, joy and hope appearing on her features. "Of course I want ! I looove going to the cinema !" She exclaimed and tightened her grip on his hand, slightly jumping of excitement.
"Thank you so much Keiji !" She finally said, embracing him into a tight hug. Akaashi was quite surprised when he felt her arms wrapping around his neck, but he immediately hugged back, wrapping his arms around her waist."No problems !" He said chuckling, he was a bit surprised by the intensity of her reaction, but he did not say anything about it. Maybe she REALLY liked the cinema.
Finally arriving in front of her house, y/n hugged Akaashi again, before walking away, waving to him.
While walking to the window that opened to her bedroom, she was hoping for two things:
The first thing, that the window did not slam while she was outside, because it would be impossible for her to enter.
And the second thing, that her mother did not noticed her absence and was still sleeping, because if her mother found out that she sneaked out, well, she preferred not imagining it.Good news, the window was opened. Slowly jumping inside, she tried her best to make the less noise she could. She changed back into her pajamas, arranged her face and hair, and tucked herself into her bed.
For the first time in her life, she felt a feeling of freedom. It was the very first time she sneaked out for the entire night, it was the first time she challenged her mother's authority, and she was so proud of her for that.
Its been a while I know I know! Actually, I wrote this chapter back in august but anyway.
