The day started like any other, with a sense of normalcy that had become a rarity for the Elite Wing. Morning light filtered through the windows of their Brooklyn apartment, casting long shadows across the living room as they prepared for the day. Yet, beneath this semblance of routine, a heavy weight lingered—an unspoken dread that hung in the air like a storm cloud waiting to break. The revelation of Samael's plans had shaken them all to the core, leaving them to grapple with the grim reality of what they were up against.

Darius took on his usual role as the protector, but even his normally unshakeable demeanor seemed more rigid, his eyes constantly scanning their surroundings as he drove Evie and Cecelia to their classes. The familiar tension had deepened into something more sinister, a creeping fear that lurked in every shadow. The knowledge that Gabriel's life hung in the balance—and that Lucifer himself might soon rise—was a weight none of them could easily bear.

The crisp autumn air greeted them as they stepped out of Darius's black Escalade, but it did little to dispel the cold knot of fear in their stomachs. Darius's watchful eyes followed them as they entered the art building, his hand lingering a moment too long on the door handle, as if reluctant to let them go.

Inside, the familiar smell of paint and pencils welcomed them, setting the tone for their morning. The brightness of the computer lab, sunlight streaming in from large windows that lined one wall, was a stark contrast to the dark thoughts swirling in their minds.

"Okay, Evie, what do you think of this?" Cecelia asked, her fingers expertly navigating the Adobe InDesign software on the desktop computer. She had the kind of natural talent with design that made others envious, her ability to bring ideas to life in a visual form was unparalleled.

Evie leaned over her shoulder, examining the new album cover she was working on. It was bold, vibrant, and perfectly captured the energy of her music. "Wow, Cece, that's awesome! But do you think we could maybe try a different font for the title? Something that pops a bit more?"

Cecelia grinned, nodding as she quickly made the changes. "How about this one? It's a bit edgier, but it still complements the overall design."

Evie's eyes lit up as she saw the transformation on the screen. "Yes! That's it. You're a wizard with this stuff. I swear, this album cover is going to blow everyone away."

They spent the rest of the class working together, bouncing ideas off each other. Cecelia's expertise in design paired perfectly with Evie's creative vision for her music, and by the end of the session, they had something they were both incredibly proud of.

After class, Darius was waiting for them in his car, a slight smirk on his face as they approached. "How's my favorite duo doing? Ready for lunch?"

"You bet!" Evie replied enthusiastically, sliding into the back seat. "Cece just helped me create the most epic album cover. I'm starving now, though."

Cecelia laughed as she joined her in the car. "It was a team effort. But yeah, lunch sounds great."
