It was a typical office day. I was working my ass off sealing a deal with a client. I got their signature, and every tiny detail settled. All I needed was my dad's signature for final approval, but he was nowhere to be found.
"Hey Hikaru, where's my dad? I need him to sign this doc for me." I addressed Hikaru -my dad's assistant- while waving the document in my hand in the air. "He said it's urgent but he's not in his office."
I could see Hikaru tense up a bit. He motioned me to come closer. Once I did he softly whispered, "He's in the conference room with visitors."
With the tone of his voice I could tell I was going to dislike who those visitors were. "Let me guess, the intruders?"
Hikaru nodded rather awkwardly, "Yes, he's in there with his girlfriend and her son."
I clicked my tongue annoyed. Just my luck, I didn't have the energy or time to deal with them.
"I could voice you in, but I know you refuse to be near them." he hesitantly spoke.
"It's okay. Just tell him I'll be waiting in his office when he comes out." I sighed.
"Don't worry I'll do that." he gave me a sympathetic smile.
I thanked him and turned back to walk into my dad's office. Though when I turned the corner someone bumped into me. I nearly fell on the ground but someone had wrapped his arm around my waist making me steady on my feet.
"Oi watch it." I let out with an irked tone. "You shouldn't be running in the hallway."
"Sorry about that, you good?" the man holding me spoke.
My eyes met his beautiful golden orbs. I snapped out of my daze and pushed him away softly. "I'm fine."
"Oh good." he smiled ever so brightly, "I didn't mean to bump into you. I was just looking for-"
"You can walk down the hall and Mr. Rusu's assistant Agawa Hikaru can get someone to escort you." I was quick to say; I tried my best to hide my anger from the stranger. Well, more like I recognized him from the hero charts; Dabi mentioned something about the number two hero being friends with Endeavor.
"Can't you guide me? I'm sure you're far prettier than that Agawa assistant." his tone was sly, dare I say even seductive.
I rolled my eyes. Could he not see I was in a hurry? "Well Agawa is good looking." I pointed out. "Anyways, bye. Gotta go." I walked past him not giving him any chance for him to talk to me again.
Once I was out of his sight, I let out a tired exhale. Typical pro hero Hawks behavior.
However... why was he even here in the first place? He's a hero not a businessman. Well maybe he's out for a modeling job; he does have the looks and those red wings of his make him stand out.
I shrugged as I sat down in one of the chairs in my dad's office. I scrolled through my phone and saw a message from Dabi.
BlueFlame: So the dinner thing
is in three weeks
Inky: I'll let my dad know
can't right now though
BlueFlame: Why?
