CHAPTER 9

TIME SKIP – THE NEXT DAY - BELLA'S ROOM

It was the next day, the morning breeze was coming through Bella's window as she was lying in the bed thinking about the events that happened yesterday. She smoothly moved out of her bed looking out the window, when something outside cought her attention.

Outside was Edward leaning against his car looking up at her with the famous smirk of his, she beamed at him, happy he was there and got ready.

MEANWHILE - ANITA'S ROOM

While Nik was still asleep Anita was wide awake looking at his beautiful features through her lashes with smile. She brought her hand up and ran it up and down his cheek lightly causing him to slightly stir in his sleep waking up.

Anita: Good morning baby, did I wake you up?

Nik: Morning love. Yes, you did, but I don't mind.

Anita:  Ok.

He chuckled and brought her closer to him than she already was, practically stradling him which he loved. She laughed lightly and pepper kissed his whole face, every spot she kissed reddened under her lips. When her plump lips reached his soft ones he cupped her head and pulled her more towards him locking their lips together into a passionate kiss.

TIME SKIP – ANOTHER DAY – OUTSIDE OF THE SWAN HOUSEHOLD

The Swan sisters together with their boyfriends were all outside the house, Bella and Edward were washing Bella's truck while Nik was sitting on the steps outside and Nita was sitting comfortably on his lap facing her sister and her lover.

Edward: Come to our house tomorrow.

Edward said looking directly at Bella knowing that Anita was going.

Bella: Your house? With your family? But...what if they don't like me?

Nik: Don't worry Bells, they will.

Nik said to her laughing slightly while his girlfriend giggled at him. Edward looked at him and also laughed.

Edward: You're worried, not because you'll be in a house full of vampires, but beacuse you think they won't approve of you?

Bella: I'm glad I amuse you.

His laughter soon died down when he heard something, Nik also sit up straighter and looked his girlfriend right into her eyes.

Nik: Darling, let's go inside and have a snack.

Anita looked at him puzzled but agreed knowing that something was wrong, they both stood up and walked inside.

Bella: What is it?

Edward: A complication.

A black car came into the view and pulled up.

Edward: I'll pick you up tomorrow, don't worry about Anita, she will come with Nik.

He went into his car, eying the passengers in the car that pulled up.

Just as he left two people got out of the car, Billy and Jacob Black.

Bella: Come to visit your truck?

Jacob: Looks good. You got that dent out.

Billy: Actually, we came to visit your flat screen. First Mariners game of the season. Plus Jacob here kept bugging me to see you again.

Jacob turned toward his father who held a proud smirk on his face, while his son looked mortified.

Jacob: Great, dad. Thanks.

Just as he said that Charlie pulled up and climbed out of the cruiser holding two six-packs with Alex following him.

Charlie: Pale Ale.

Billy: Harry Clearwater's homemade fish fry.

Charlie and Alex both smiled, while the sherrif looked pleased, then they all head inside.

Billy: Any luck with the Waylon case?

Alex: Found a footprint out at the crime scene today.

Charlie: A bare, human footprint.

The two police men said while sitting on the couch, Charlie's arm wrapped around Alex, while Alex's hand is rested on the sherrif's thigh.

Bella: A person did that?

Jacob: A crazy person, walking around barefoot this time of year.

Charlie: Spread the word out at the rez, will ya? Keep the kids out of the woods.

Billy: Will do.

Then he looked straight at Bella.

Billy: Don't want no one else getting hurt.

Bella looks away from Billy with stressed and unnerved expression.
