Soon, as the sun became visible on the horizon, the Autobots and their respective charges began to locate the Decepticon's recently assembled space bridge. As of last night, they have figured out that they have built it to bring forth Megatron's undead army from Cybertron. Luckily, it wasn't long until Ratchet managed to identify the bridge's location.
"Optimus, I've pinpointed the location of Megatron's Space Bridge, high in Earth's orbit," The medic informed, turning away from the massive computer and toward the Prime standing before him.
"Out of our reach," Optimus stated, narrowing his optics and looking towards (Y/N), who stood beside him with a worried look on her face.
"Okay, so you guys don't fly. But can't you just ground bridge there?" Miko suggested, standing beside her guardian.
"The ground bridge has limited range. Stretched all the way into orbit, its vortex could snap and scatter us to the stars." Ratchet said sternly, causing Miko to look at him in shock.
"Since Megatron is likely already in transit, I'm afraid we must take that risk. Reaching the Space Bridge first is our only means of stopping him." Optimus stated, clenching his servo. (Y/N) looked at him with concern, fearing that when doing so, something could go wrong, and like Ratchet said, they could spread into the cold vacuum of space, never to be seen.
"Are you sure there isn't another way to get there? One with the least chance of dying?" (Y/N) asked worriedly.
"(Y/N), there is no other space bridge here on Earth. We've been searching for one since we set up base." Ratchet informed. "Believe me, we have tried." He finished, looking down sadly.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of tires and the hum of an engine echo through the tunnel walls. Arcee had finally arrived with Jack. (Y/N) looked at Miko and smiled, knowing the compelling words she had given him last night had gotten to him.
"Seems like he thought about your speech yesterday." She said, lightly elbowing the pigtailed teenager, grateful for her will to help get him back to the team. She grinned back happily.
"Nah. I think it was all Arcee." She replied, waving her hand dismissively.
"Hey, guess who's back." Jack greeted, taking off his helmet. Unexpectedly, no one replied, causing him to frown.
"Took you long enough." (Y/N) said, slightly bitter, as she crossed her arms, making Jack roll his eyes playfully. Suddenly, Optimus spoke, catching everyone's attention.
"Autobots, prepare for departure."
"Where to?" Arcee asked, already transformed into her cybertronian form.
"The final frontier," Miko answered, causing Jack to look at her in surprise.
"Space? I thought they didn't have any way to get there." He said.
"They don't, really," Raf stated, grinning as Bee took him off his shoulder plate and carefully placed him on the floor with (Y/N) and Miko. Jack looked down worriedly, then turned to Arcee.
"I'll be seeing you?" Jack said, looking at his guardian, who smirked and walked away as Ratchet powered up the ground bridge.
"Be careful, Bee," Raf reminded. Bumblebee nodded and smiled.
"You've got nothing to worry about, Raf." He reassured him as he stood upright from his kneeling position, following Arcee.
"I'm so jealous!" Miko exclaimed, looking towards Bulkhead with a grin, her pigtails bouncing.
"Don't even think about following me." He said, putting his servo before him as he stomped away, still keeping his optics glued to her. Miko pouted and turned away angrily.
