As the sun slowly disappeared from the horizon and cast a warm golden glow across the sky, its orange rays painted over (Y/N)'s features. Her knotted hair turned into a light shade of (H/C), and her eyebags painted a slightly darker tint of (S/C). She held back a sigh as she tried her best to maintain her composure, sleep endeavoring to overcome her.

"And remember, (Y/N), the project will be due in two weeks." (Y/N) tried to keep herself from yawning as her boss reminded her for the third time.

Since the Autobots saved humankind from demise, her energy had been at an all-time low due to how much strength and vitality she had wasted for the past few days. She hadn't felt this exhausted since they had launched one of their company's all-time unique products.

"You can count on me, boss. You know I never miss a deadline." (Y/N) replied, standing up from her chair and adjusting her shoulder bag as she walked toward the office's exit. He smiled slightly in response as he leaned back against his seat.

"I know you won't, as always." He said, crossing his arms. After he said this, (Y/N) closed the door to his office and slumped against it wearyly. Now that she has to stay at the Autobot base for the rest of the day to keep herself from getting captured by the Decepticons and jeopardizing her life, she can no longer keep up with the tight deadlines and scheduled lengthy meetings.

As she walked to the building's exit, she received a call from her friend (F/N). (Y/N) beamed as she picked up, excited to converse with her closest friend, whom she hadn't talked to in a while due to her previous prolonged adventures with the Autobots.

"(ʏ/ɴ)!" She called over the phone enthusiastically, making (Y/N) sigh tiredly and smile softly at her excitement. "ᴍɪɴᴅ ɪꜰ ɪ ᴅʀᴏᴘ ʙʏ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʜᴏᴜꜱᴇ ᴛᴏᴍᴏʀʀᴏᴡ? ɪᴛ'ꜱ ʙᴇᴇɴ ꜱᴏ ʟᴏɴɢ ꜱɪɴᴄᴇ ᴡᴇ'ᴠᴇ ᴠɪꜱɪᴛᴇᴅ ᴇᴀᴄʜ ᴏᴛʜᴇʀ!" The young adult usually couldn't resist hanging out with her friend, especially when it involved food, but for now, she had to decline.

"(F/N), you know I have a lot of important... things to attend to." (Y/N) replied as she walked through the automatic doors of the building. (F/N) huffed in frustration, making the young adult chuckle.

"ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴏɴ, (ʏ/ɴ)! ᴡᴇ ʜᴀᴠᴇɴ'ᴛ ʜᴜɴɢ ᴏᴜᴛ ɪɴ ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛᴡᴏ ᴍᴏɴᴛʜꜱ. ᴘʟᴜꜱ, ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇɴ'ᴛ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴀɴꜱᴡᴇʀɪɴɢ ᴍʏ ᴄᴀʟʟꜱ ꜱɪɴᴄᴇ ʟᴀꜱᴛ ꜱᴀᴛᴜʀᴅᴀʏ. ᴡᴇ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ꜱᴏ ᴍᴜᴄʜ ᴛᴏ ᴄᴀᴛᴄʜ ᴜᴘ ᴏɴ." She said.

"I know... but I'm swamped with work right now. The project deadline is approaching, I have a meeting with a stakeholder tomorrow, and I have a lot of other 'issues' to take care of, so I really can't afford any distractions." (Y/N) said, pulling a bottle of Gatorade from her bag. "Plus, don't you have a lot of work to do too? Since you and your boyfriend are managing Manhattan's subways?"

"ʙᴀʜ. ᴛʜᴇʏ'ʀᴇ ɴᴏᴛ ɢɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴜꜱ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴅᴏ, ꜱᴏ ɪᴛ'ꜱ ᴋɪɴᴅᴀ ʙᴏʀɪɴɢ, ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ." (F/N) replied. "ᴀɴʏᴡᴀʏ, ᴊᴜꜱᴛ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ᴏᴠᴇʀᴡᴏʀᴋ ʏᴏᴜʀꜱᴇʟꜰ. ɪꜰ ʏᴏᴜ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ᴀɴʏ ʜᴇʟᴘ, ɪ'ᴍ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏꜱ ʜᴇʀᴇ ꜰᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜ." She said, making (Y/N) smile. "ʜᴇʏ, ʀᴇᴍᴇᴍʙᴇʀ ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴡᴇ ᴜꜱᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴅᴏ ᴇᴀᴄʜ ᴏᴛʜᴇʀ'ꜱ ʜᴏᴍᴇᴡᴏʀᴋ ʙᴀᴄᴋ ɪɴ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴄʜᴏᴏʟ?"

"Yeah, last time we did that, our English teacher sent us to the principal's office." (Y/N) replied, trying to hold back fits of laughter.

"ɪᴛ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛ ᴍʏ ꜰᴀᴜʟᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴅɪᴅɴ'ᴛ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇꜱꜱᴀʏ ꜱᴏᴜɴᴅ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴍᴇ!" (F/N) shot back playfully, chuckling as she looked back on the memory. The young adult couldn't help but laugh, throwing her head back slightly.
