I approached my front door with the aid of my crutches as the knocks coming from outside caused my heart to beat out of my chest, and sweat to drip from off my brow. I reached for the deadbolt lock hesitantly, not knowing who could be on the other side. I unlocked the door and turned the handle ready to silence the insistent knocking as the doorway widened, I was met by a tall, dark-haired, man dressed in a police officer uniform, similar to the ones I had seen before, but I didn't recall meeting this particular cop, however, I couldn't help but feel as if his piercing emerald shaded eyes appeared to be familiar. "Uhm, is something wrong? I told you guys everything that I could remember. My mom is not home so you should just come back later. Ok, bye!" I stammered as I proceeded to shut the door because of how paranoid I had been, I just could not talk about any of this alone, without my mom. Right as about four inches away from the door closing I felt as it halted to a stop, my heart skipping when I noticed the officer's foot stuck between the doorway, keeping the door open.
"Oh, I'm not here for your mommy, boy." He spoke from beyond the door, his voice booming as I felt a shiver run down my spine as I finally recognized where I had seen this man before. His eyes were those that darted at me through the mask at the fairgrounds, it was him. My stare, now gaping at that revelation, I grabbed a hold of both my crutches and turned my back to the door prepared to crutch as fast as humanly possible away from this man and that's mostly because there was no way I could fight such a crazy potential murderer. As I made my way closer to the kitchen I already was breathing heavily and my underarms began to burn. I turned to view the front door behind me and saw that the man was standing there with the door now wide open. He had a sadistic smirk plastered on his face and he held his hands behind his back. I gulped, feeling a giant knot in my throat, and I stood my ground, shouting, "Just leave! I don't understand why you are doing this! Someone, help me!" The last part I had belted so loudly that I watched the man's smirk disappear as if he were worried that someone could hear me. The imposter cop then began to approach me, pulling out an axe, the same one he had on him the last time I encountered him. I let out a shrill and bloodcurdling scream that had appeared to hurt both of our ears causing him to flinch. "You little shit. You're dead this time." His voice was enough to make me want to vomit, I proceeded to get away as quickly as I could manage through the kitchen, the man was so close I swear I could feel his breath.
"Hello? Is something going on here?" The sound of a new voice coming from within the living room relieved me as it also visibly filled the psychopath, who I saw was now only a few feet from me with worry. The man began to raise his axe in my direction as he whispered just loud enough for me to hear. "Don't you tell, I will not hesitate to kill you." As I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat earlier, I gathered the courage to yell to the distant voice for help. "I'm in here! The kitchen!" I made eye contact with the man before me, him wielding his axe as he was physically threatening me, causing me to be silent. He gingerly put his axe behind his back hiding it, and faced the entrance to the living room. He slowly walked in towards whoever was in there. I chose to follow but not too quickly to not be so close to him, as I was still extremely shaken by this whole experience. I entered and saw another man who seemed to be of Asian descent, with raven-colored hair in a bun with sunglasses resting on his head, who was dressed in the same uniform as the one with the axe but I genuinely did not recognize him. "I came by to check on Erin and he's doing just fine now, right?" The Maniac had stated matter-of-factly with a sly smirk, him successfully hiding his weapon. "Yea." I muttered feeling defeated and fearing for my life.
