*Nymeria's P.O.V*

I squirm slightly, staring at Mum who looks decidedly unimpressed. She had to have been mad at me. I mean there was no other reason that she would have me come into her study when I came to visit.

"You drank...which you know is against the rules," Mum says, making my stomach flip flop. I hated being in trouble with her, I hated it so much. I felt so naughty all the time when spoke to me about rule breaking.

"I...wanted to have some gin," I say, not sure why I couldn't just tell her that I was so anxious that I had turned to drinking to cope. I was a big girl, I shouldn't feel so bad all the time. I mean Mum probably never felt like I did.

"Nymeria..." Mum sounds upset with me and I can't stop the tears that fall when I hear her voice. She was going to be mad at me and hate me and never want to see me again! I can't help it when the choked sob escapes my throat.

"Come here bug," Da says, patting his lap from where he's sitting on the couch. I turn to him, practically collapsing into his arms. He wraps his arms around me, rubbing my back as I bury my face into his chest as my tears stream down my face.

"I'm sorry," I cry into his chest, feeling his hand rub my back even rougher. His hand is pressing into my back in a way that refuses to let me slip into my own thoughts of despair, I have to focus on him and not the thoughts of them abandoning me.

"Oh baby, you're fine. No one is that mad at you about drinking. We're concerned, baby. You shouldn't need to drink so much at such a young age," Da says as he stands up, resting me on his hip as he rocks me slightly. His swaying helps almost as much as his words, my hiccups stopping slightly as my fingers slip into my mouth.

"Darling, let me see your pretty face," Mum says as she's suddenly next to me, trying to turn my face towards her. I whimper, biting my fingers slightly as she manages to lift my head out of its hiding spot.

"Hate me," I hiccup softly as I look at Mum, making her coo. Her hand wipes away my tears, a small frown on her lips when I say that.

"Hate you? I could never hate you. You're my baby," Mum says. I shake my head slightly, not believing her.

"Darling, you're our girl. We will never hate you for breaking rules. We expect rebellion, that's what children do. They break the rules and test boundaries," Da says as he presses a kiss to the top of my head. I shake my head slightly, refusing to believe that. They would hate me one day, breaking rules made people not want you anymore.

"Darling, this reaction to breaking rules isn't normal. Your need to turn to alcohol to cope is not normal," Mum turns my head towards her, pressing a kiss to the top of my head. I sniffle as she takes me from Da's arm, pretending like she's going to throw me on the couch. I can't help it when a giggle escapes me, not able to stop it.

"Oh a giggle, that's a wonderful thing to get from you," Mum says as she bounces me up in her arms, lifting me up in the air which earns a giggle from me. I squeal slightly in delight as Mum drops me down slightly, lifting me back up in the air. This goes on and on until my tears dry.

"Oh baby, I think that you need to start talking about how you feel more often. Even if you have to come to me at 3 in the morning to do so," Mum says, making me shake my head.

"No? Why?" Mum asks.

"3 is the evil hour, everyone knows that Mum," I tell her, earning a small laugh from her.

"It's not the evil hour darling girl. Maybe to you as a human. I promise you that all of the monsters I know wouldn't even think about messing with you," Mum says as she pulls me close, rubbing our noses together which earns a delighted squeal from me at the close contact we had.

"Monsters real?" I ask, looking at her with eyes at the thought. Now my fear of not getting out of bed in the middle of the night in case of something grabbing my ankles was validated. Da chuckles, pushing my hair out of my face since it had fallen in front of my face.

"They're not real monsters. They're demons and other such underworld things and they have no interest in you. You wouldn't even taste that good if you were cooked," Da says, making me squeal as he grabs my hand. He pretends to eat it, making me giggle as I try to pull my hand away.

"Da, noooo," I squeal as he tries to take me from Mum, smiling when she turns me away as if she's trying to protect me from him. I nuzzle into Mum, grinning when Da pulls me from her arms and tosses me up in the air.

"If you drop her Zohar," Mum threatens, seeming upset with Da at the mere thought of him even getting close to dropping me.

"Oh relax El, she's fine," Da says as he bounces me slightly, rocking me slowly as if to soothe me. I giggle slightly as he bounces me up in the air, throwing me and catching me with magic right before I hit the floor.

"Don't you dare," Mum nearly screeches when Da holds me back up in the air. I giggle slightly as she snatches me back from him.

"You are a horrible man," Mum says to him as she holds me tightly to her chest, checking me for injuries even though I hadn't even hit the floor. I nuzzle into her, accepting the paci that Da suddenly summons for me. I suck on it, sighing softly as Mum pats my bottom. She was so happy with holding me it was amazing! was even happier to be held though.
