SUMMARY:
Coraline was originally a Pogue growing up. She had the best group of friends always looking out for each other till the eight grade her parents won the lottery when her great-aunt Constance died. Aunt Constance had left her house on figure eight and six zeros, and her father had gotten a promotion in his carpentry job. Moving into the house on figure eight, she was told she was not allowed to hangout with the Pogue's anymore. She had transfer to a new school where she met Sarah Cameron and those two became inseparable.
When her parents started fighting, Sarah's family adopted her in (Not legally.) So, whenever she didn't feel comfortable staying home, she would always have a safe place to go to, the Cameron became her second family. In the ninth grade Coraline and Rafe Cameron started dating, it was sweet and gentle like puppies in love until it turned dark when Rafe started doing drugs. He would never intentionally hurt Coraline or that's what he told her. She kept that a secret of Rafe 'accidentally' releasing his anger on her when he didn't get his fix.
Her parents gotten divorced, and her father left Outer banks to move somewhere in North Dakota with some young chick half his age. She couldn't leave her relationship with Rafe because the Cameron was the only thing she had left. No matter what was happening she still shown her bubbly self to everyone. When summer came around, she had started isolating herself from her 'kookness.' She wants to go back her original roots as a Pogue. She was never truly happy as kook, I guess money can't buy happiness.
