Siya’s scream echoed in the dimly lit hallway as Aarav dragged her back to the room, his grip firm but not painful. He was silent, his face a mask of controlled anger, but Siya could see the turmoil in his eyes. For a moment, she feared what he might do, but more than that, she feared her own conflicting emotions. How could she feel anything for him? He was her captor, the one who had turned her life upside down.

Yet, when he shoved her back into the room and locked the door, she didn’t feel the hatred she thought she would. Instead, she felt a gnawing confusion, a pull toward the man who was holding her against her will. It terrified her.

Aarav leaned against the door, trying to calm the storm inside him. Siya’s words had cut deep—“This isn’t love, Aarav! This is madness!”—and for the first time, he questioned what he was doing. Was he truly mad? Was he fooling himself into thinking that what he felt for her could ever be mutual, or even justified?

He took a deep breath and walked back to the room he had claimed as his own. The small hideout, hidden deep in the forest, had always been a place of safety, a place where he could hide from the world. But now, it felt like a prison, one where he was just as much a captive as Siya.

He sat down on the edge of the bed, running his hands through his hair in frustration. He knew he should let her go, but the thought of losing her now—after everything—was unbearable. It wasn’t just about the job anymore, or even the thrill of the chase. It was about her. But how could he ever make her understand that? How could he explain that she was the only thing that made him feel alive in a world that had long since turned cold?

In the room across the hall, Siya sat on the floor, her back against the wall. Tears streamed down her face as she tried to reconcile her emotions. She hated Aarav for what he had done to her, for taking her away from her life, her family, her future. But she also couldn’t deny the strange connection she felt with him, the way her heart raced whenever he was near.

“What’s wrong with me?” she whispered to herself, wiping the tears from her cheeks. “Why can’t I just hate him?”

She knew she needed to escape, to find a way out of this nightmare. But every time she tried, Aarav was there, pulling her back into the darkness. And every time, it got a little harder to resist the pull.

As the night wore on, both Siya and Aarav found themselves lost in their thoughts, each grappling with the reality of their situation. Aarav knew he was walking a dangerous line, and Siya was determined to find a way to break free. But as much as they tried to deny it, there was something between them—something neither of them could control.
