Stella's pov

I was ready. I had my mask and cap on with a oversized hoodie and sweatpants paired with sneakers.

My goal was to not get recognized which I made clear to sunbaenim , and he agreed to the same.

I grabbed my phone and thought It would be better to wait in lobby , until I get his call. I approached the door , just when I was about to open the door my doorbell rang , I took a step back . Someone ringing my doorbell , was weird . For those who knows my address will call me , more to more my unnies , manager and recently sunbae knew my address .

I looked through the peephole , a well structured men with a menacing smile was standing infront of the door . 

I felt my adrenaline rush as he knocked hard once again, Fear gushing to me , I pushed my wooden shoe rack infront of my door , double locked the door and rushed to kitchen to grab a knife , My manager was away , the nearby police station was far so firstly I called the security , They didn't pick up Damn it . 
After that

I called the police .

" hello, how may we help you ? "

"I think someone is trying to invade my place , I don't know him , reach fast at xyz area , xyz building , xy flat "

" ok we will be there in a short while , make sure you have a weapon , be alarmed and lock yourself somewhere , and call someone who is nearby if possible "

The person outside started banging the door , I took the knife , locked myself in the my bedroom and pushed my table infront of the door .

My neighbors were out of town so there was no one nearby , the one that lived down could not hear it, the soundproof property of this building was a curse to me today , and Nor like I knew them .

So I just called my manager , and Ji eun unnie on a conference call , they were at 30 minutes distance from my apartment .The closest.

" hello , wow a conference call ?" ji eun spoke up.

" Unnies "

" what happened stella , you sound scared " Mrs choi spoke up.

" someone is trying to break in "

" We will be there as fast as possible till then make sure you are safe , Have at least a knife near you "  ji eun unnie spoke up, the banging on the door got louder and louder.

" he will break in any moment , be fast please "

" take deep breath stella, don't be scared , nothing will happen do you trust unnie "Mrs. choi spoke.

I took deep breath but it wasn't calming me at all , with every bang on door my breath hitched .

My eyes were getting blurry and my heart was going to explode , I was not able to cry .

The fear , the possibilities .

Amidst this I heard my phone rang , I looked up to see ' sunbae ' pop up.

I quickly picked it up .

" Hello ? stella , I am downstairs in lobby "

" Sunbae, someone is ... " 

With a loud thud as if the shoe rack falling and the lock breaking , Jolted me , The phone fell from my hand , the Screen breaking into pieces .

I approached the table , and held it tightly at the place with all the force I had .

I heard deep footsteps stop infront of the bed room .

I was scared , fearful and It was all making my vision blurry but I still held the last straw , That man started hitting the door , he wasn't aiming the lock but the center of the door .

Thud , Thud and it stopped. 

I was going to get up when with a loud thud the door was broken , That man did it with his bare fist , no way my lousy knife skills will work at him .

He looked at me in eyes and that menacing smile still on his face . 

He called in his creepy voice sending chills down my spine , I was fixated on my spot .

" baby , You should have opened the door , when I was being a gentleman , look my fist is so red , let's take you with me "

" Who the hell are you "

" I am hurt , I am your husband and you didn't recognize me "

" Stop the nonsense , I have called the cops "

" too bad then we should go together "

I looked at him , his smile grew wider . 

"  If not in bed than Death bed, baby "

My eyes grew wide , he started banging the door with his full force , the world got too blurry .

I fainted , half conscious .

I heard another voice , Few thuds on ground , then some another voices .

I entirely lost my consciousness after hearing, loud and clear voice of sunbaenim . I realized I was safe .

"Stella Are you okay ?"
