WHOA TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE MOTHERFUCKING DAY! IM SO HAPPY , NOW WHAT IF END OF SEASON THREE WUKONG MK SCENE IN THE CLIFF WHAT IF WE AMKE THAT MORE ANGSTY AND TRAUMATIZING?
The night air was cool, a slight breeze rustling through the leaves and carrying the distant sounds of the city below. The rooftop was quiet, save for the soft shuffling of feet as MK paced back and forth, his mind racing with thoughts he couldn't control. He had come up here to clear his head, to escape the chaos that seemed to be consuming him from the inside out, but all he found was the same overwhelming sense of dread.
Sun Wukong watched him from a distance, his sharp eyes following the younger man's every movement. MK was different now—ever since the battle with the Lady Bone Demon, something had changed. He was quieter, more withdrawn, and the usual spark in his eyes had dimmed to a shadow of what it once was. Wukong knew trauma when he saw it, and MK was drowning in it.
MK stopped suddenly, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. "Why does it feel like I'm losing control?" His voice was barely above a whisper, but it carried the weight of a thousand unspoken fears. "I keep seeing her... I keep hearing her voice in my head. What if... what if I'm still not free of her?"
Wukong's heart ached for his student, for the pain that he couldn't simply punch away like he did with his enemies. He took a step forward, making his presence known. "Kid, you're stronger than you think," he said, his voice gentle but firm. "The Lady Bone Demon is gone. She can't hurt you anymore."
MK shook his head, his breathing growing more erratic as the memories of the battle flooded his mind. The cold grip of the Lady Bone Demon's power, the feeling of losing himself to her control, and the sheer terror of not knowing if he would ever be the same again—it all came rushing back with a vengeance.
"I'm scared, Wukong," MK admitted, his voice breaking as tears welled up in his eyes. "What if... what if I hurt someone? What if I hurt you? Or Mei, or Pigsy, or anyone else? I don't... I don't trust myself anymore."
Wukong's expression softened, and he closed the distance between them, placing a hand on MK's shoulder. "MK, listen to me," he said, his tone filled with a rare seriousness. "You're not alone in this. You've got me, and you've got everyone else who cares about you. We're not going to let you fall."
But MK could barely hear him. The guilt and fear had taken hold, and he could feel himself spiraling. His breaths came in short, panicked gasps as his vision blurred. "I'm sorry," he choked out, his voice trembling. "I'm so sorry..."
Wukong pulled MK into a tight embrace, holding him as he started to shake. "It's okay, kid. It's okay," he murmured, his voice soothing. "I've got you. You're safe."
MK clung to Wukong, the dam of emotions finally breaking as he sobbed into his mentor's shoulder. The pain, the fear, the guilt—it all poured out in a flood of tears, and for once, MK didn't try to hold it back. He had been holding on for so long, trying to be strong, but now, in Wukong's arms, he allowed himself to be vulnerable.
Wukong held him through it all, his heart breaking for the boy who had taken on so much. He wished he could take MK's pain away, but all he could do was be there for him, to let him know that he wasn't alone.
After what felt like an eternity, MK's sobs began to subside, and he pulled back slightly, wiping at his tear-streaked face. "I'm sorry," he repeated, his voice hoarse.
"Hey, none of that," Wukong said gently, brushing a stray tear from MK's cheek. "You don't have to apologize for feeling this way. You've been through a lot, MK, more than anyone should have to bear. But you don't have to carry it all by yourself."
MK nodded slowly, the weight on his chest feeling a little lighter, but still present. "It's just... hard," he admitted quietly. "I feel like I'm never going to be okay again."
Wukong sighed softly, his expression filled with understanding. "It's going to take time, MK," he said. "Healing isn't easy, and it's not something that happens overnight. But you will get through this, one step at a time."
MK looked up at Wukong, his eyes still glistening with unshed tears. "Will you help me?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Wukong smiled, a warm and reassuring smile that made MK feel like maybe, just maybe, everything would be alright. "Of course, kid," he said, ruffling MK's hair affectionately. "I'll be with you every step of the way."
They stood together on the rooftop, the city lights twinkling in the distance as the night sky stretched out above them. For the first time in what felt like forever, MK felt a flicker of hope. It was small, fragile, but it was there—a reminder that he wasn't alone in his fight.
As the wind gently blew around them, MK leaned into Wukong's side, feeling the warmth and comfort of his mentor's presence. He still had a long way to go, but with Wukong by his side, he knew he could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
And maybe, just maybe, he would find his way back to the light
