"do you have to go?" dani pouted, leaning on her propped elbow, looking effortlessly tempting in nothing but her sports bra. the sight of her, all toned muscles and messy curls, was making it harder and harder for me to even think about leaving.
"yes dani, it's gio's birthday and she has this whole thing planned, it's only for a couple of days." i said as i placed back on my panties that was flung on the other side of the bed by dani a few hours ago.
"after spending a couple of years apart, i can't do any more days." dani groans, her wild curls falling over her face in a mess that made her look irresistibly cute.
"i'll be back before you know it, baby." i smiled as i reluctantly got off the bed, trying to stay focused. but when i glanced over at her, i saw the way her eyes were trailing slowly down my body, taking in every inch of me. i could feel her stare like a physical touch. "stop looking at me like that."
"like what?" she asked, her voice low and teasing as she leaned back, arms now folded behind her head, looking far too pleased with herself.
"like that," i muttered, trying to ignore the way she was making my knees feel weak.
"i'm just admirin' how good my princess looks," she teased, and i rolled my eyes, though a smile was tugging at the corners of my lips. dani and i have spent the last week camped out in her house, the only times i went back home was to get more clothes so leaving her felt truly dreadful.
i started getting dressed, pulling on my jacket, but even then, i could feel her gaze burning into my back. i turned, only to be met with her overly dramatic offended expression, as if i'd committed the worst sin.
"what?"
"you gon' leave my house without kissing me goodbye?" she asked, her voice soft, her lips pouting in that way she knew i couldn't resist. i smiled, sheepish, and carefully knelt back onto the bed, thinking i'd just give her a quick peck.
but dani had other plans.
before i could even blink, she wrapped her strong arms around me, pulling me flush against her chest.
her skin was warm, and her scent—soft and sweet, mixed with the familiar musk of our time together—wrapped around me, making it even harder to leave. she cupped my cheeks gently, her thumb brushing against my jaw as she brought my face toward hers.
her lips met mine in a soft, lingering kiss, a slow, deliberate press that was filled with more tenderness than i expected. it wasn't rushed; it was savouring, her lips warm and gentle.
her tongue slipped past my lips, and i sighed into the kiss, my fingers gripping her arms as she held me tightly, not wanting to let go.
i could feel the warmth radiating from her body, her hands roaming my back as she deepened the kiss. when we finally pulled back, she kept her forehead resting against mine, her eyes still closed, her breath mingling with mine in the small space between us.
