Angelica sat with her head in her hands. A sob escaped her lips when she heard the news that the detective gave her family.

Her hopes that her sister would be found were dwindling as the days, weeks, and months passed by in the blink of an eye, but yet, something inside her told her to not give up this search. Something inside her told her, her sister was still alive and begging to be found.

Sergio stroked her raven hair in slow motions. He stood behind her seated figure that was on a white wicker chair in the garden.

She let out more sobs as the detective continued to talk about their investigation on her sister's case.

"The witness of Amelia's taking from her apartment has gone missing. I went over to the building to get more information from him yesterday and when I got there the manager said he had not shown up for a week.

"I started to do a little background check on him and found out that a huge transaction was made to his account.

"This got me thinking the only person that would want him gone would be the kidnapper. This kidnapper has got to have a lot of money to give a stranger two hundred thousand dollars."

Detective Gregory Wilson looked over to Sergio's direction and gave him a look. Sergio had no effect by his look. Detective Wilson had given him looks since Amelia's disappearance.

"The money was passed by an unknown account. We will do our best and track down who it was." Detective Wilson started to gather up his paperwork that was scattered on the glass coffee table.

"All I want is for my daughter to come home or, at least, to know what happened to her," Catalina Ludovisi said. She hugged her husband tighter and buried her head into Alfonso's chest. He wrapped a protective hand around her waist and with his other hand caressed her tear stained cheek.

"Detective Wilson I hope you find our daughter we have waited three months and nothing. You have nothing." Alfonso was angry at the lack of progress the detective had in the last months. Sometimes Alfonso found  himself hiring PDs to do the job that Detective Wilson could not do, but sometimes Alfonso doubted that the detective was telling the family everything he learned. Sometimes he felt that he led on to less than what he actually knew. But why? Why would he hide precious evidence that could push the case forward?

"Oh but Mr. Ludovisi I do in dead have something, only I need more evidence to my theories." The detective looked over to Sergio's way again and quickly overlooked him. "But don't you doubt me. I am the best of the best for a reason."

3 Months Earlier

Amelia slowly opened her eyes from their drowsy state. She stretched her arms and let out a suppressed yawn. She looked around her room only to find she was no longer in it. She pressed the covers of the mattress closer to her body and looked around the dark room.

A stench of sewer water wafted into her nose making her cringe in disgust. She pulled the cover higher up her face so it would be able to cover her nose and protect her from the horrid smell.

All she could think of as the dripping of water continued in a sync pattern was where the hell she was.

If she remembered correctly the last memory she had in mind was of her falling asleep with Sergio's hands cradling her naked body.

She lowered her head at the memory. How stupid had she been last night? She had slept with her sister's fiance. The man she was to marry in a month. Amelia would never be able to forgive herself for such a sin. It would always be with her.

Footsteps brought her to look up and she was shocked at who she saw.

Sergio walked closer to her. He was dressed in a white polo and black dress pants. His hair was in a messy due and his dark eyes seemed darker, if that was possible. From the outside of his shirt, she noticed a handgun tucking in his pants.

Was he going to use that on me?

She coward as he stood in front of her in his 6'4 glory. He was a tall man.

She noticed that in his right hand he held a piece of rope and a piece of white fabric.

She knew what he was about to do with those things, but she didn't want to believe it. He would not do that to her. Not after what had happened between them. She was in a dream or least to say a nightmare.

She closed her eyes and breathed in and out. Yes, this was not real. This was all coming from her imagination. Opening her eyes, she wished it were all a bad dream and she was back in the comfort of her room but she was still in the dark and smelly room, only now Sergio kneeled in front of her as he undid the rope and pulled on it right in front of her tearing eyes.

"Why?" She could not fathom to finish her undying question. She did not know which of the million words running in her head to choose first.

"Because I want you all to myself. I don't like to share, Amelia," he said as he trailed his fingertips over her cheek. She turned away from his touch and looked away from his eyes. She couldn't believe she had given herself to him. She regretted every part of last night and just wished she could rewind time so nothing had ever happened. Maybe she would still be at home instead of being kidnapped by the Devil in front of her.

"Know that I am only tying you up for your own good," he said as she felt him bring her hands to her back and start to put the rough rope around them. Then he put the white cloth between her lips and tied it behind her head. She could no longer talk or scream for help. Her sobs would no longer be able to be heard by him or anyone else.
