VIII. Beloved Consort

"Lucy, are the other children safe?" Elliot asked the pink haired woman.

"Except for the seventh royal child, everyone is safe, Lord Reinfield." Lucy politely replied and Elliot sighed in relief.

"Is the First Princess also present?" Pierre couldn't help but ask, caressing the bow in his hands.

It had been a long time since he held one.

During his adolescence Pierre like any other man is intrigued on weaponry and for Pierre the bow is like his other soul mate. He was the most skilled archer in the Asteria Kingdom and no one can match his abilities there. After winning against all the people in his Kingdom, he goes in search of fresh challenges above the hidden kingdom's territories.

Due to their elusive nature, elves built their kingdom underground, away from other humans and creature. Through the World Tree magic, it provided for their needs, allowing them to live in seclusion for thousands of years. However, some of the elves, like Pierre, are inquisitive beings who are always seeking challenges and new information.

When he reaches the adult age based on Elven calendar, he secretly ran from home and had his adventure for months where then he meet the thirteenth years old [Scarlet].

At that time, Scarlet was anointed as the crown princess and assigned certain duties, such touring the regions she would rule in the future. She traveled to Rivendell, a province in west side of Avelion and the location of Asteria Kingdom.

Interestingly, there was a fighting tournament going on at the time, [Scarlet] thought it would be interesting to participate in disguise where they met in the finals.

It was on that moment when [Scarlet] had pinned down Pierre after successfully evading his swift arrows, Pierre can't help but be mesmerized by his opponent's radiant smile and her ruby eyes, which sparkle with enthusiasm. Her silky black hair may be disheveled from the fierce struggle, but it exudes a seductive charm that makes Pierre want to stare.

She was beautiful.

And he fell in love.

He suddenly confessed to her at that very time, and that was the beginning of their story.

His lips curved into a smile as he thought back to those priceless moments with Scarlet, whom had not forgotten his love and prowess in archery.

'Maybe everything she said is true.' He hopes.

If she is now by his side she will notice that his love rate increase by two points.

"Princess Rosaline is secure with her brothers and sisters, Lord Von Everlane." Lily stated.

"Rosaline, is that her name?" Pierre repeated his daughter's name a few times and couldn't help but smile.

"The Queen named her Princess Rosaline Layla Marie Salvatore, Lord Everlane."

"What a great name." Pierre grinned once more.

"What is the name and likeness of my daughter?" Elliot inquired with curiosity.

He was eager to meet her when her daughter was born, but he was too worried that [Scarlet] would harm their daughter if he asked, so all he could do was dream of his child.

"The second princess name is Zarina Louie Marie Salvatore however she was born pre-mature so she easily get sick, Lord Reinfield." Lily clarified.

"Zarina, what a beautiful name." Elliot beams.

Lily shakes her head as she observes the two foolish men in front of her who are constantly muttering the names of their children. The Queen has ordered her to protect the First and Fourth Royal Consorts, even though she would prefer not to, but according to White Crow rules, the Queen's orders are final, so she can only put up with these two curious fathers' questions.
