The day of the sleepover finally arrived, and I made my way to Jasmine's house. Upon my arrival, Jasmine and I munched on some gummy worms while we waited for Catherine and the other classmate to arrive. I glanced at my surroundings, taking in the familiar surroundings of Jasmine's home

As Jasmine and i were talking, Jasmine's phone rang, and she sprang up to answer it. She informed me that the others had arrived at the gate and excused herself to let them in. With Jasmine momentarily occupied, I decided to take the opportunity to change into a tank top, feeling the need for something more comfortable and cool as the night progressed.

When I returned to the living room, I was greeted by a loud and cheerful greeting. Catherine hurried up and gave me a warm, tight hug. I returned the embrace, feeling a sense of sibling affection between us. It was comforting to be in the company of someone who felt like family.

As I was embracing Catherine, my gaze shifted to behind her, and my heart skipped a beat as I saw Sadie walking into the room. Our eyes met, and she gave me a warm smile that sent a shiver down my spine. My heart hammered in my chest, a mix of surprise and unexpected emotions washing over me.

We planned to have a unique kind of sleepover on a trampoline, which worked out well since Jasmine had a large one in her backyard. After setting it up, Catherine and Jasmine left to get some pizza and snacks, leaving me and Sadie alone in the house for the moment.

I was in the kitchen, preparing to make some ice coffee when Sadie walked in and took a seat at the table. She asked me, "What are you doing?" I paused for a moment, the question catching me slightly off guard.

"I'm making some ice coffee. You want some?" I replied, trying to sound casual despite the fact that my heart was still racing from her sudden appearance

Sadie hummed and nodded her head, "sure"

I couldn't help but notice the way her eyes followed my movements as I prepared the coffee. It was almost as if she was studying me, observing my every move, and it made me feel both flattered and self-conscious at the same time.

"How's you and Nicole?" ,I ask nervous as fuck but wasn't ready to admit it.

Sadie paused for a moment before answering my question about her relationship with Nicole. She replied, "We're on a break."

I felt a flicker of surprise, not expecting this revelation. My heart skipped a beat as I tried to process the information. A break? What did that mean for them? I tried to remain composed, but my curiosity was piqued.

"Oh , are you okay?" , i asked a bit happy inside.

Sadie nodded, her expression a mixture of sadness and resignation. "Yeah, we've been having some issues lately," she confessed, her voice tinged with a hint of disappointment.

I felt a pang of guilt for the surge of happiness I had felt at the mention of their break. I tried to push aside my conflicting emotions and focus on being supportive. "I'm sorry to hear that. If you ever need to talk about it, I'm here for you."

Sadie smiled briefly at my offer, silently acknowledging my words. There was a moment of comfortable silence between us as we both seemed lost in our own thoughts. I continued making the ice coffee, but my mind was preoccupied with the knowledge that Sadie was now going through a rough patch with Nicole.

I finished making the ice coffee and offered Sadie a glass. I feigned a dramatic tone as I presented it to her.

"Here you go, my famous ice coffee," I said playfully, trying to lighten the mood a bit. I handed it to her, hoping it would bring a small smile to her face.

Sadie took the glass, her eyes meeting mine for a moment as our fingers touched while she took the drink. There was a spark of electricity in that brief moment, and I couldn't deny the tingling sensation that coursed through me.

She took a sip, a hint of a smile forming on her lips. "Mmm, it's really good," she complimented me, her voice sounding softer.

I found myself lost in Sadie's beautiful green eyes, captivated by the depth and intensity within them. For a moment, it felt as if time had stopped, and all that existed in that space was the connection between us.

I quickly snapped out of my trance, realizing I had been staring for a bit too long. I tried to act casual, hiding the effect her gaze had on me.

As Catherine and Jasmine returned with piza and snacks, the sleepover officially started. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and conversation. As the night progressed, I couldn't help but be drawn deeper into Sadie's presence.

With every joke she laughed at, every smile she flashed in my direction, and every moment we shared in conversation, I felt my feelings for her growing stronger. It was both exciting and terrifying.

The night was winding down, and Catherine and Jasmine decided to call it a night. Sadie and I remained awake, our phones in hand as we scrolled through social media. I stole glances at Sadie every now and then, trying not to be too obvious.

As time passed, my eyes grew heavy with tiredness. I dozed off. In my sleep, I vaguely felt a presence nearby, followed by a gentle warmth as a blanket was draped over me. Realizing it was Sadie's doing, a sense of warmth enveloped both my body and my heart.
