The Beginning
From the moment they were born, Y/N and Oscar Piastri were inseparable. Their parents were next-door neighbors, living in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Melbourne, Australia. They were born just a few days apart, and their mothers liked to joke that they were destined to be friends from the start.
As toddlers, Y/N and Oscar spent their days playing in each other's backyards, building forts out of blankets, and chasing each other around with toy cars. Y/N’s father, a former karting enthusiast, often set up a makeshift track in the driveway, and it wasn’t long before both kids developed a shared love for racing. Oscar, with his natural talent and competitive spirit, was always eager to get behind the wheel of his mini kart, while Y/N, more adventurous and fearless, would push him to take risks and try new tricks.
Their friendship grew stronger as they started school together, always sitting next to each other in class and teaming up for every group project. They were known as the dynamic duo, the kids who always had each other’s backs, no matter what. Y/N, on the other hand, had been accepted into a top engineering program at a university in Melbourne.
