Wenlock would never understand how vigilantes enjoyed this.
She was on the rooftop of a Wayne gala, attempting to listen to Oracle through the slamming of wind and howling rain pushing her slim figure left and right, almost slamming into the concrete half-wall behind her. God, this was terrible, she thought as she pulled up the zipper of the cropped vest, the closest thing to a proper second layer she could wear without getting in the way of her already lacking mobility.
"calm down, the security door is the next one to your left, should be a flight of stairs down, I've already sent the guards to investigate a couple of kids throwing rocks at windows on the south side," Oracle's static voice came out as calming to Wenlock, a constant buzz penetrating the chaotic winds beating her sides.
Sighing, she walked on, opened the door to security, and stumbled down the stairs to the security room. Sliding a USB into the computer, her job was done, and it was back into the cold darkness she went.
Slipping back onto the rooftop she slipped quietly down the rope Oracle had her set earlier in the day, cursing her lack of athleticism and dropping painfully into the Wayne Garden.
"The emp on your suit won't work from this range, I can't turn off the cameras anymore, you need to run" At this, Wenlock swore and directed her way through the darker parts of the grounds, passing the barn at the back of the Wayne lands and set her path down a dark alleyway. She turned around, to take in the site of her first real heist.
"Stop moving, give me a second," Oracle's voice rang through her ears, a slightly raised tone, she sounded... panicked? Wenlock's heart froze as Oracle directed the cameras of her helmet to zoom in, past the rain, to a yellow and black grainy figure on the roof of the Manor. The figure stood, blending in with the night staring at her with what looked like binoculars.
"Fuck," Wenlock sighed, and her hand raised into a quick salute, before running into the darkness of the alley.
She didn't know what it was that powered that action, maybe it was the adrenaline of achieving a step of their plan. Maybe it was a challenge to them, a call to tell them that she was here, that she existed in the depths of their territory, and that she was a threat.

"See? It wasn't even that bad,"
"It was awful, at least this should be the easy part," Wenlock muttered as she slipped past the deputy mayor to reach the table closest to to staff hallway.
"Should just be keeping people that might be security figures away from the room whilst I integrate myself into the Wayne system." Oracle sounded distracted, Wenlock mused, could an AI be distracted? Technically her friend was some code online so... She shook her head, best not to think about it.
"Guessing she counts as a security figure," With a nod towards the entryway, directing the camera in her glasses to the redhead walking in.
"Well, you know your job,"
With a sigh, she straightened her back, putting on a confidence façade and strolling into the path of Barbara Gordon.
