Harry Styles woke up to the sound of his alarm blaring at 6:30 a.m. He groaned, reaching over to silence it, hoping to catch a few more minutes of sleep. But before he could even close his eyes again, he felt a familiar nudge on his shoulder.

"Morning, love," Louis whispered, his voice laced with sleep.

"Morning," Harry mumbled, turning over to bury his face in Louis's chest. He could hear the gentle rhythm of Louis's heartbeat, and for a moment, everything felt peaceful.

"Time to get up, Haz. We've got two kids to wrangle," Louis reminded him, pressing a kiss to the top of his head.

Harry sighed but knew he was right. As much as he wanted to stay in bed, they had responsibilities. He forced himself to sit up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. The room was still dimly lit, the early morning sun just beginning to peek through the curtains.

"Alright, let's get this show on the road," Harry said, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. He caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and cringed at his messy hair and tired eyes. "You look like shit, Styles."

"Don't worry, you'll always be the prettiest one in the room," Louis teased, giving Harry a playful smack on the butt as he got out of bed.

Harry shot him a half-hearted glare, but couldn't help the small smile tugging at his lips. Louis had a way of making everything seem a little less overwhelming, even on days when the world felt like it was crashing down.

They got dressed quickly, opting for comfortable clothes since it was a Saturday and they had no plans to leave the house. As Harry pulled on a pair of sweats, he heard the distinct sound of footsteps pounding down the hallway.

Jay burst into their room, his usual bright expression replaced by a scowl. "Why didn't you wake me up?" he snapped, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Good morning to you too, Jay," Harry said, trying to keep his tone light. He knew Jay had been in a mood lately, but he hadn't expected it to start this early.

"Don't start with me, Dad. I'm serious. You know I like to get up early on Saturdays," Jay grumbled.

Harry raised an eyebrow. "You're up now, aren't you? Besides, it's not like you had plans at the crack of dawn."

Jay huffed and rolled his eyes, something he'd been doing a lot lately. "Whatever. Just... don't do it again."

"Jay, watch your tone," Louis warned, his voice firm but not unkind. "It's too early for this, mate."

Jay didn't respond, instead choosing to stomp out of the room and slam the door behind him. Harry winced at the sound, already feeling the tension start to build in his chest.

"Well, that's one way to start the day," Louis muttered, running a hand through his hair.

Harry sighed. "He's been like this for weeks. I don't know what's going on with him."

"He's twelve, Harry. He's going through a phase," Louis said, though there was a hint of concern in his voice. "We'll just have to ride it out."

"I know," Harry agreed, but it didn't make it any easier. He hated seeing Jay so angry and distant. It felt like they were losing the sweet, playful boy he used to be.

With a heavy heart, Harry headed to the kitchen to start breakfast, hoping that some food might improve Jay's mood. He busied himself with making pancakes, one of Jay's favorites, while Louis set the table.
