(PENNY- POV)
Penny took the nearest thing she could find and brought it down on the boy's head. She didn't hesitate. She didn't think- she just wanted him gone. Cesar glared at her.
"Why did you do that?!"
"If I remember correctly, he needs to be dead."
"Well, I was hoping I'd get to have some fun first! A little psychological warfare never hurt anyone!"
"You'd be surprised-"
"Spare me the attitude! Just let me kill the other one."
"This isn't supposed to be fun."
"Oh sure, you think that? I know you want them dead as much as I do."
"I'm not a monster."
"You really think-"
Penny had Cesar pinned in a second. She wrapped her hands around his throat, and just- wait. What was she doing? She got up slowly, Cesar followed. "Sorry, guess I struck a nerve..." He muttered quietly. Penny figured she should apologize, too.
"I'm sorry, Cesar. Hug?"
Cesar looked hesitant, but he let her hug him. Penny let go after a second. "I'm only doing this because I have to. We are not the same."
Cesar nodded quickly. Good. Let him be scared. "Do you want to kill the other one?" Penny asked. Cesar nodded again, albeit much more enthusiastically.

(JONAH- POV)
Jonah ran towards the car, trying to catch his breath. Just a bit farther. He managed to reach the vehicle, slamming the door behind him. The car takes a moment longer to start than he would've hoped, but he's back on the road soon enough.
"You left him behind."
What?
"Whatever will he do without you?"
No..
"You left him behind."
"Damnit, shut the hell up!"
"You left him behind."
"STOP!"
"You left him behind."
Jonah got out of the car, slamming the door behind himself. He couldn't hear the voice anymore... Good.
Jonah looked around, examining his surroundings. Every shadow was too dark, too mysterious. As if it was a horror movie, fog drifted around him.
"Hello? Who's-"
He didn't have any time to react to the footsteps behind him. His yell was muffled as the alternate slammed it's hand over his mouth. Jonah tried to pry its hands off him as it dragged him into the woods.
The rest was a blur. He couldn't escape it's grip, despite his tries. The alternate must've been yelling to the other one, he could hear it shouting, but he was too focused on escaping to pay attention to the words. Eventually the alternate let him go. He fell to the ground. Ow.
"What the hell do you want with me?"
The alternate grinned, adjusting the bowtie around it's neck. "That would be a question for Jane."
Jonah watched in horror as 'Jane' walked out from the shadows. She walked slowly, so painstakingly slow. She was drawing it out. He wasn't going to die quick. 'Jane' glared at him, then spoke. "Do you know who I am?"
"Oh gee, I dunno. 'Jane'?"
"Don't call me that."
"Why not, Jane-"
Ow. Did she really just slap him?
"Don't call me 'Jane'! My name is Penny. Penny Lamb."
"I don't give a damn who you are!"
Ow. Ok, maybe he shouldn't be so rude.
"Listen here. You are going to die. We are going to kill you. Know that it wasn't because we wanted to. We needed to. There's a difference."
"Really? Cuz it looks like you're enjoying-"
Stab. Jonah looked down at his shirt in horror. Blood. So much blood. He... he really was dying here, wasn't he? Well shit.
