(PENNY- POV)
"Karnak...?"
"Sorry what?"
"No- it's the fortune teller."
"The fortune teller is a robot?"
"No- Yes."
Karnak's eyes didn't glow like they used to. The wires were all messed up. "Help me move this. I need to fix him." Penny leaned down to examine the wires. She could probably replace them. There had to be something here she could use.
"Look for wires." Penny said. Cesar nodded. "Yes ma'am!"
The two searched for a bit, before Cesar carefully took a pair of pliers he had found to take the wires out of a electronic toy. He carefully removed them, before connecting it to Karnak. The animatronic powered on, examining his surroundings. And then he saw Penny.
"Where are my friends?"
If Karnak could show more emotion, he would've been frowning.
"They are still here, my dear. But they are inaccessible."
"Give them back!"
"I cannot."
Cesar glanced at Penny. "So this is the fortune teller who gave you your life back?"
She nodded. Cesar turned to Karnak. "Its a pleasure to meet you! I'm Cesar-"
"Cesar Torres-
○LEO
○ The most Confident man in Town"
"What the f*ck was that?!"
"I know very well who you are, Mr. Torres." Karnak replied smugly. Cesar scoffed. "Oh of course you do-"
"Ahem. How can I get my friends back?" Penny demanded.
"You can't."
"There must be a way!"
"There isn't. Unless..."
Karnak paused before speaking again.
"If you can exchange something else for their souls, there may be a way to get them back.
Penny nodded eagerly.
"Like what?"
"Something of equal value. A heart for a heart, an arm for an arm, a soul... for a soul."
Penny nodded. If that was what it took. Cesar grinned. He must've known what Karnak was implying. As the two started to walk away, Karnak called Cesar back.
"Cesar Torres... Never turn your back. Perhaps you should look over your shoulder from now on."
Cesar's eyes widened, but he nodded. And they left.

(CESAR- POV)
Cesar knew better than to listen to fortune tellers. He wasn't a very superstitious person, but something about that... It had stuck with him, gnawing at his mind. He shook those thoughts away and turned to Penny. "So! Who's first on the hit list?"
Penny paused thoughtfully before speaking. "Those two people who tried to capture us. They will be good targets. And- I want to save Mark for last."
"Haha, I see. We can do that. Now, let's go hunt those b*tches down!"
Penny grinned, ignoring the voice at the back of her mind. It was only fair, wasn't it? They wanted her dead, while she just... needed them dead. There's a difference!

(JONAH- POV)
"Adam, maybe we should go."
"Are you kidding me? You're really going to leave now?"
"This is dangerous-"
Jonah could hear a cat inside the building before them. Suspicious...
It was caterwhauling, but it sounded the same each time, like a video set on loop.
Jonah watched in horror as Adam walked closer.
"Adam, what the hell are you doing?"
"Relax, Jonah. I just want to see what's inside."
"Adam, do NOT go in there."
"You can't stop me-"
"Adam, I'm serious this time. I know I goof off a lot, but if you walk into that building, you aren't coming back out alive. And if by some miracle you do, you won't be the same person. And... I won't be here to confirm that."
"THEN LEAVE!"
Adam yelled. Jonah scoffed and walked away. Screw him.

(ADAM- POV)
Adam walked into the- ok, who was playing music?! He knew the alternates were messing with him. They were NOT going to win. He could hear a voice accompanying the sounds of the cat. As he got closer, he was able to make out the words.
"I know this dream of life is never-ending... It goes around and round and round again... You know the sun is rising while descending... It just goes on and on and never ends----"
A figure descended to the ground before him, huddled over so far it appeared their head was missing. What...
He felt someone throw him to the ground. Shit! He looked up to face the alternates before him. The one with neat hair, wearing a suit. And the one with blonde curls, dark eyes, and some sort of school attire.
"Well? What are you waiting for?"
Adam demanded. Penny nodded slowly.
"Well, I wanted to do what I do best first. Just a bit of psychological torment first-"
Cesar started, before Penny took a bit of debris and bashed it against Adam's head. Adam fell back, his head pouring blood. He closed his eyes as the world faded away.
