Taeyong's hand hovered over the send button, frozen in place. He couldn't believe that he was actually doing this. He must have really lost his mind to even think about it. But he had to know. After telling Johnny that he was sure his dad had been contacting him, Taeyong had been waiting for something to happen. He knew Johnny was working on figuring it out but that was taking too long and Taeyong needed to know now who was trying to reach him. So that night, after receiving confirmation that the stranger wanted to meet up with him, Taeyong slipped on a black hoodie, grabbed his backpack and opened the window to his room. He couldn't tell Yuta so he went over to Doyoung's bed instead
"Doyoung, wake up" Taeyong whispered, poking the younger boy. Doyoung shook his head, slowly opening his eyes.
"What do you want?" Doyoung mumbled, still half asleep.
"I just need you to cover for me if hyung comes in here. I'll be back soon" Taeyong knew he was taking advantage of his friend's tiredness and he felt kind of bad about it but he had to do this.
"Okay, have fun" Doyoung turned over and closed his eyes. Taeyong shook his head, climbing out the window. It wasn't until he got to the bottom and the window was closed that Doyoung opened his eyes again and sat up.
"Wait what!?" Doyoung shot up in bed, looking at the closed window. He had heard that right, he knew he had.
"Gosh, Yongie-hyung. You idiot" Doyoung muttered to himself, rocking back and forth in bed. His nerves had shot up and he barely noticed the time passing. He should tell Johnny, he knew that but he also didn't want to get Taeyong in trouble. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to wait. Yeah, he could wait. Just for a little while.

Doyoung nodded off and immediately jerked back up, holding his eyes open wide. He could not fall asleep. Careful not to wake his last roommate, he checked Yuta's emergency phone. An hour had passed. Doyoung couldn't take it anymore and he crept over to Yuta's bed, crouching down and gently shaking his hyung."Yuta-hyung" Doyoung whispered, shaking him again. Yuta woke up much quicker than Doyoung had and sat up, turning on the lamp by his bed.
"What is it, Doyoung?" Yuta wondered, brows furrowed in worry.
"I think Yongie-hyung is missing" Doyoun admitted. He felt bad now for not going to Johnny right away like he should have.
"What do you mean, he's missing? Where did he go?" Yuta perked up, now on extreme alert.
"I don't know. He woke me up about an hour ago and said I needed to cover for him and he would be back soon" Doyoung explained, backing away as Yuta got up.
"You didn't ask where he was going!?" Yuta whisper-yelled, panic setting in. Doyoung burst into tears.
"I was half asleep, hyung. I didn't even register his words until he had already left and I thought he would be back quickly. I'm sorry!" Doyoung sniffled. Yuta felt a pang of guilt and immediately wrapped the younger boy into a hug.
"Shh, don't cry Doyoungie. I'm sorry, your right. You had no idea he was going to be gone so long" Yuta patted Doyoung awkwardly on the back. Doyoung didn't stop crying but he did calm down a bit so that was good enough.
"We have to tell Johnny-hyung. He'll know what to do" Yuta put his slippers on and got up to leave the room. Doyoung grabbed his hand and followed.
"But Taeyong-hyung will get in trouble!" Doyoung reminded him. Yuta paused. He knew that but there was nothing to be done.
"I know, Doyoung" Yuta pushed open the door and went in, poking Johnny. After explaining what happened, Johnny sent the boys to the living room, aware that they wouldn't be able to sleep anymore and it would do no good to leave them alone with their worry. Johnny tried calling Taeyong before realizing that the kid had left his emergency phone behind, the one time it was actually an emergency and Taeyong needed it.
