Headcannon 2 A realization

Headcannon-none of the countries are actually related unless they are literally the same country. (I.e Italy and Romano)
Sure they may call each other 'brother' or 'sister' or what you have to feel more close to each other, but none of them are actually related.

(Story time!)
A realization

The nations all filtered in for the meeting. Of course America was late, and France and England were arguing.
So far the meeting appeared to be normal.
Except when America showed up, he was completely silent.
He spoke to no one and had a sad look on his face.
When the meeting officially started, that's when the other countries noticed how quiet America was being.
"America, vhat is on jour mind?" Germany asked.
America looked down for a second, then looked up.
"I just recently found out that, countries are not related unless they are the same country, like Italy and Romano. So that means none of us are related."
America said the last part looking at England.
"So none of us here are brothers or sisters unless you are the same nation?" France asked.
America nodded.
Things had all gotten a little more complicated.

I really don't agree with this at all.
I can see the logic in this, but I still don't really agree.
I mean what about the American brothers?!
