It was safe to say that JD was in a horrible mood for about two days before his eating schedule got back on track. Campers actively steered clear of him if possible. Connor Stoll almost lost his ear due to an arrow shot by JD going so far off course that it landed in the strawberry fields. Some campers think JD did it on purpose not that Connor didn't likely deserve it. Most outside the Hermes cabin hated how much he and his older brother, Travis, pranked everyone on camp. They did so far more than any other child of Hermes.

"Callie, your boyfriend is so weird," Odessa exclaimed looking at the color Sapphire chose for her nails. It was a ballerina pink, which was completely out of the realm of color Odessa typically got but when the redhead gave her the pretty-please look Odessa couldn't decline.

"And yet I love him," Callie blurted.

"Do you not like it?" asked the redhead.

"It's just not really me I guess. But it's p-," Odessa stopped and looked at the redhead who was looking at her with the same look. The two girls had just processed what the brunette had told them. They turned to the brunette in sync.

"DID YOU JUST SAY YOU LOVE JD?!" They questioned at the same time. Callie shushed them peaking outside the Aphrodite cabin making sure no one had heard her obnoxious friends.

"Will you two keep your voices down? I haven't told him yet," Callie spoke.

"You the daughter of the goddess of love hasn't been able to tell her boyfriend she loves him after two years?" Odessa questioned. Sapphire had closed the polish bottle and the two girls gave Callie their undivided attention.

"It's hard. W-what if he doesn't feel the same?"

"After two years? I'm pretty sure he would've let you know if he wasn't feeling it," Sapphire commented.

"Okay, but saying 'I love you' is hard for some people. What if he can't say it back?"

"Just because he can't say it back doesn't mean he doesn't feel it or that he doesn't love you," Sapphire reassured and looked at Odessa.

"She's right, Callie. But you don't know if he won't be able to say it back."

"I guess I just wanted him to say it first."

"But boys are clueless. I mean Luke didn't even realize Odessa had asked him out," Sapphire noted.

"To be fair, I hadn't either," Odessa confessed.

"Gods, you both are so blind to your feelings."

"You think he likes me?" Odessa blushed.

"Think? Odessa Libertad Reyes, Luke Ray Castellan is totally head over heels for you." Odessa's face became the color of Callie's nails, electric red.

"H-how do you know my middle name?" Odessa questioned wanting to move on from the fact that everyone but her seemed to know about Luke's feelings towards her.

"Oh, I know everyone's middle name and zodiac signs. Must look for potential couples here. Battle training can be so boring and I must find something to keep me entertained," Sapphire spoke looking at her perfectly shaped, purple manicured coffin nails. "It's better to be a matchmaker with beautiful, long nails than a soldier. That helm is not a great look."

"So, Luke," JD started as he sharpened his sword, "what are your intentions with my sister?" he questioned making Luke stop in his tracks.
