I PUSHED OPEN THE RESTROOM door and stepped out into the hallway, trying to steady my breathing. Mainit parin ang mukha ko at ang galit nandito parin. I want to slap her again and again pero pinigilan ko. It's an animal abuse.
Right now, kailangan kong umalis dito dahil kung hindi I will definitely do worse than that.
The elegant décor of the restaurant blurred as I walked quickly toward the entrance. My heels clicked sharply against the marble floo. I could feel eyes on me-Sage's eyes. But I didn't turn around. I couldn't face her right now, not after everything that had just happened.
Baka pati siya mapagbuntungan ko ng galit. Pero naramdaman ko sumunod siya sakin kaya mas lalo ko binilisan ang lakad.
"Miss Lefevre!" Sage's voice called out, But I kept walking, pushing past the doors and into the parking lot.
I fumbled for my keys as I reached my car, but before I could unlock the door, Sage was there. She grabbed my arm, gently but firmly, spinning me around to face her.
"What?!" I snapped, yanking my arm free from her grip. "Ano? Papagalitan mo ako?Because of what I did kanina sa asawa mo? You want to tell me how rude I am, how bastos I am! Ms. Voscanto? Go ahead! Say whatever you want. I don't care!" sigaw ko sa galit.
Sage's eyes widened in shock, looks like she didn't expect my anger. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out at first. She just stood there, staring at me like she was seeing me for the first time.
"I'm not going to do that," she finally said, her voice soft, almost pleading. "I just wanted to make sure you're okay-"
"Maayos ako!" I interrupted, my voice cracking. "You've seen me, so you can leave now. Bumalik ka na sa asawa mo!"
"Miss Lefevre, please-"
"Don't!" I shouted, taking a step back as she reached out for me. "Don't get near me." Tears stung my eyes, blurring my vision as I looked at her. "Alam kong naguguluhan ka rin, Sage. But so am I. I don't know how any of this happened. Pano nga ba nagsimula? Why can't you remember me? Not even a little bit?" My voice broke, and I couldn't stop the tears from falling.
Sage's face twisted in pain, and she took a hesitant step toward me.
"I-"
But I shook my head, cutting her off before she could say anything more.
"Tama na...don't follow me,"
I reached for the car door, my hand trembling as I fumbled with the handle and for a moment, I couldn't bring myself to open it. My mind raced with thoughts of the past, of everything that had been lost, everything that had been taken from me.
But I couldn't stay here, not like this. Not with Sage standing there, watching me with that look of helplessness on her face. So, I forced myself to pull the door open and slid into the driver's seat, slamming it shut behind me.
I didn't look at her as I started the car, didn't glance in the rearview mirror as I pulled out of the parking lot. The tears continued to blur my vision, but I blinked them away, focusing on the road ahead.
But the memories wouldn't leave me alone, haunting me as I drove away from the one person I had ever truly loved. The one person who no longer remembered me.
MALAKAS KONG sinuntok ang punching bag and it echoed echoed through the gym, a steady thud that matched the fast beating of my heart. Sweat dripped down my face, stinging my eyes, but I didn't care. Kanina pa ako dito mga ilang oras na just to get rid my anger since that fight with me.
