In one of Khar'shan's many military bases, a high ranking officer was looking out his window towards his city, he had a frown and looked rather worried, something odd to see in a Batarian, but in this situation, no one could blame him for being like this.

A few minutes ago, he had began to receive r, after report from many of the Hegemony settlements for slave rings outside this system, and none of them were good news, in fact in the past a hour he heard nothing but death and destruction from this reports.

Many other Alien homeworlds and governments were also trying to communicate with them, but he had no answer to their questions no one did, no one in the Hegemony knows what going on.

But, that's not what has him so worried, no, is the fact that someone or something is attacking the Batarians and the Hegemony and its a very open, and agressive attack too.

No Batarian was spared resulting in the death of thousands of his people, good soldiers too and it was beginning to affect everyone in Khar'shan, the worst thing about all of this, was the fact that no one knew anything about who's attacking them and why.

The attack itself was so unexpected and sudden, that it caught them with the proverbial pants down and no one knew what's going on, many military leader were already in a panic and considering counter attacks.

But, no one knew who's responsible, who would dare go against the Hegemony to begin with? ws the the question in everyone's minds, that prevented the Batarians from doing anything, which left the entire Hegemony nervous, stressed and quite frankly afraid.

As the high ranking officer of the Batarians thought about all of this, one of his soldier burst into his office "sir! we have a situation!".

The high ranking Batarian officer sighed and turned around, he quickly sat behind his desk and then signaled his soldier to tell him what's going, the nervous soldier wasted no time in explaining "sir, our scans have detected something just above the planet".

The high ranking Batarian officer seemed perplexed but curios as well "and? what is it?".

The Batarian soldier looked nervous and quite hesitant to say anything, but then continued on to explain "it seems to be a human sir...".

Now, that left the high ranking Batarian officer rather confused, he almost thought the soldier was joking or something, but they way he was acting, lead the high ranking Batarian officer to think that something else was going on here "a human? what kind of ship is he on board of?".

The Batarian soldier frowned "that's the thing sir... the human isn't aboard a ship, it's flying on its own, inside open space and just looking down at the planet".

Now this was beginning to make no sense to the high ranking Batarian officer "soldier... humans can't breath in space, what sort of nonsense are you saying?".

The Batarian soldier shook his head "no sir, we double, triple and quadruple the checked readings! they all came out the same, there's a human like body flying in open space just above the planet, we even have a visual".

The Batarian soldier walked up to high ranking Batarian officer's desk and slid a folder to him, the high ranking officer wasted no time in opening the folder and checking its contents.

He saw a few pictures, blurry since they were made by enhancing into the human as much as possible, but the high ranking Batarian officer could not mistake the figure showed in the picture.
