I made it to my classroom and was grateful no one was inside yet. I found a desk in the back that seemed abandoned and sat down. I pulled out my sketchbook and began drawing. I started drawing the four boys I just came into contact with. I'm worried that I'll have problems with them in the near future. Suddenly I heard Mary's voice as she came down the hall. She was laughing and joking with someone. It wasn't until she walked in with the three boys that I realized she was making friends with them. This really isn't good. When she saw me she sneered at me.

"Why did they have to put us in the same classes?" Mary asked.

"Maybe it's because we are in the same grade and come from the same household? Or maybe Dad had something to do with it." I bit back.

"Shut up. I wasn't talking to you." She growled."

"One of these days everything you do to others is going to come back and bite you in the butt." I said closing my sketchbook and hugging it close.

"Okay ladies and gentlemen, it's time to begin class. Let's stop horsing around and get in our seats. We have a few new students joining us, Mary Billings and Emerie O'Neil." The teacher said as he walked in setting his briefcase down on his desk. "Amber please come pass out these books. We are starting our new book today and you'll need to bring them with you every day to class."

Amber, a girl with long red curly hair and freckles that danced over her pale skin that seemed to glow in the light, stood and grabbed the stack of books then walked up and down the aisles of desks handing each of us one. I took mine from her and looked down at it before shoving it to the corner of my desk.

"Now, for the remainder of the class you are to read the first three chapters. Then for your homework you are to write a report on those same three chapters you read." The teacher grabbed a book from the stack as he walked around his desk and down the aisle, "You may begin now." He said as he placed the extra book on my desk. I know who it's for.

I nodded my head in thanks and opened my book beginning to read. I finished reading early, so I pulled out my notebook and began writing my paper for the class. I'd do my computer, but I don't trust my sister. Mary has a tendency to break my things. Dad knows but there's only so much he can do. Mary is rebellions and self-centered.

Suddenly I heard the bell chime through the school and began packing up my things. I rushed to be the first one out so I can avoid Mary and her new group of friends. So, like this, I ran to each class and made sure to avoid the group of self-centered jerks, all in hopes that today would be a peaceful day. Or so I thought.

Finally, it was lunch time, and I knocked out three classes of my total of five. I found my locker and placed my bag in it before grabbing my wallet and putting it in the pocket of my uniform skirt then closing my locker and spinning the lock. I made my way to the cafeteria that was absolutely beautiful.

I made my way through the line and grabbed a bowl of tonkatsu ramen, one of the bowls of fruit and one of the variety of drinks they provided for us. I looked at the vast array of students sitting, eating, and even laughing with one another. I found a table away from the rest of the students and sat down beginning to eat. I sat facing away from the other students and toward the window. It was beautiful outside with a beautiful line of trees beyond the path from the school.

It was peaceful. That was until I heard foot steps from behind me. I held my breath gripping my chopsticks in my right hand. I turned my head to see the three boys from earlier come around the table. I sighed heavily as the boy with spiky hair grabbed my bowl of fruit and picked a grape from it popping it into his mouth.

"You should drop out." Spikey hair said. "You don't belong here." He picked at my jacket, "You can't even afford a brand new uniform, this looks used."

"Last time I checked I don't have to answer to you..." I said placing my chopsticks back into my bowl and grabbing more noodles and leaning over taking a bite.

He snatched the chopsticks from me and threw them across the room, "Now try to eat your food."

"That's okay, I was done any way." I said rising up from my seat. I grabbed my tray and began walking away.

The boy brought his hand up from under my tray and tipped it over so everything spilled down my uniform. I stood there staring down at my uniform as my sister began to laugh along with the other kids. I grabbed my bowl off the floor and tray and took them to the trash bin setting them next to the trash bin on the cart then left the cafeteria. I went to my locker and grabbed my phone dialing Nelson's number.

"Nelson." He said. He must have answered with his ear piece since he didn't realize it was me.

"Nelson, will you please pick up another uniform and a snack and bring them to school." I asked as I made my way to the girls locker room.

"What happened? Are you okay?" Nelson asked immediately

"I'm fine. Someone knocked my food into me and I don't want to go home later with food all over my uniform and worry dad."

"I'll be there in about thirty minutes" Nelson said hanging up.

"Thirty minutes?" I asked myself, "That's odd."

I sat down and waited for him. I texted him telling him I was by the gym in the girls' locker room and then waited for him. Soon I got a text from Nelson saying that he was here. I rose up off the bench and opened the door seeing Nelson holding up two bags.

He looked at my uniform and frowned, "Get dressed first, I'll get that one dry cleaned."

"Thank you Nelson," I said grabbing the uniform from him. I went back inside and got dressed in my new uniform then placed the dirty one in the bag before leaving the locker room and handing it to Nelson.

"Here." Nelson said handing me a small bag of snacks.

I looked in and smiled, "Thank you." I looked at him, "Hey, Nelson, please don't tell dad.. He has enough to deal with because of Samantha he doesn't need Mary's antics on top of it."

"If it continues, Emmie, I will have to let him know..." Nelson warned.

I nodded, "Deal, please go before someone sees you. I'm more than happy with people thinking I'm broke."

Nelson nodded taking my dirty uniform with him to get cleaned and left the school. I went to my locker, hung up the bag of snacks after grabbing some fruit bars and went to my next couple classes of the day. I was able to effectively avoid Mary and her new friends as I didn't have class with them. Afterwards I went to the hospital with Nelson.
