[23.5] You/Charoen - Confessions

Summary: You want to see the stars with Charoen.

You had plenty of opportunities to ask Charoen about wanting to accompany you to see the stars but you always chickened out. You feared to hear her turn you down so you avoided inviting her. Now that the day had finally come, you regretted never speaking up. Now all you could hear was everyone talking about how they were looking forward to spending the night with their partner.

"Well how did it go?" Rather than answer Sun, you just stabbed at your food. "So I'm taking it that you didn't tell her?"

"No, Sun. I didn't tell her. I think I'm just going to end up alone. No way am I ever going to have enough courage or confidence to go up to the person I like." You sigh while looking over at Charoen arguing with Tinh. "I think I'm just going to skip out tonight."

"No way! If I got the courage then so can you....."

"Ongsaaa, did you get the courage or did I push you a little?"

You held back from laughing as Sun called out Ongsa. Ongsa just turned a bright shade of red as she corrected herself.

"You just need a little push like me. You need to tell her before the day ends. We can help...."

"Uh, no thanks! I've seen how all of you help each other out and I don't need that." As you watched Charoen and Tinh make their way over, you hurried to pick up your trash. "I'm actually full already. I'll see you guys later!"

Hurrying out of your seat, you left a confused Sun and Ongsa behind while you quickly threw away your trash and headed as far away from the courtyard as you could.

Sun and Ongsa looked at each other when Charoen and Tinh joined the two of them as soon as you had run off. They both had an inkling that you were going to avoid Charoen until the day ended. Without saying anything to each other, they knew what they had to do.

"Wasn't (y/n) here just a couple of minutes ago?"

Charoen asked with a confused expression on her face.

"Yeah. You just scared her away with your face!"

The two of them began to argue again until Sun interrupted their argument.

"Charoen! Are you going to come tonight?"

Charoen turns to face Sun and shook her head.

"Uh no. I'm not coming to see a bunch of people eating each other's faces." She says while scrunching up her nose. "I think I'd rather stay home and save myself from that suffering."

"You should come!"

"Yeah, you should come!"

"Oww! Y...eah. You should come tonight Charoen."

Sun smirked, satisfied that Tihn had gotten the hint after she had lightly hit his shin.

"I already told you guys, I'm not coming. So there's no point in...."

"(Y/n) is coming too. I think she said she was going to come alone."

Sun didn't mean to lie but she knew that Charoen wouldn't come unless she pulled her secret weapon. It was a miracle that neither you or Charoen knew of the fact that you both liked each other. She couldn't say anything considering she had been a little blind of Ongsa's crush on her.
