The Cullens

It's been a week since I met the Cullens, and they've allowed me to grow for the first time in five years. Carlisle and his brunette wife, Esme, have been teaching me to control my thirst through exposure therapy. I've been picking it up quickly and they think I'll be ready to go to school soon. I hope they don't mean highschool. I'm almost 20 years old, I would've graduated two years ago and I don't really like the idea of being surrounded by hormonal teenagers anyway. Emmett has been teaching me how to apply my strength in dangerous situations. Him and Jasper (Mr. curly-haired southerner) are really good at sparring, although they still can't beat me because of my newborn strength. Plus I already have some prior sparring training from when I did jiu jitsu as a kid. Emmett's girlfriend Rosalie is usually busy with Renesme (the child of mind-reader Edward and his wife Bella), but when she's not she likes to read with me. We don't talk much, but I feel like we have an understanding that most of the others don't when it comes to our immortality. I still can't believe that I'm actually a vampire. I didn't think it was even possible. I mean, how does a werewolf become a vampire? I'm trying not to worry about that for now anyway, especially since the Cullens don't know that I'm a werewolf. I've got into the habit of singing in my head so that Edward can't read my thoughts. I don't think he enjoys Wap by Nicki Minaj. This entire family seems very Mormon, in fact. Its personally not the type of lifestyle for me, but I have no problem with them being Mormon as long as it doesn't affect me. They didn't bat an eye when I dyed my hair brown, which was nice. I thought I'd take the precaution of making sure that those werewolves can't identify me by my hair if they see me again (natural ginger unfortunately, curse my Irish roots).

Anyway, Alice (probably the kindest and most fun Cullen) has essentially become the closest thing to a best friend that I have. We do each other's makeup and go shopping together. She taught me how to climb trees and she helped me take down a puma once. She likes my sense of style, she says it reminds her of Elena Gilbert (a girl from a TV show that she adores). I really like her to be honest. I hope I don't hurt her.

Bella, when she's not taking care of Renesme, has been giving me talks about adjusting to vampire life. Immortality, super speed, super strength, eye colour, the works. She's a very young vampire compared to the rest of the Cullens: she turned only six years ago for the sake of her love for her husband, Edward. In a way that is quite romantic, if you ignore the clear disregard for her precious human life. Although she isn't Mormon like the others so her fear of 'losing her soul' is essentially non-existent. She talks a lot of a werewolf named Jacob who seems to be her best friend (although it's clear that they were a bit more than that because of the irritation on Edward's face everytime his name comes up) and how she can't wait to introduce him to me. He usually visits the Cullen residence everyday, but has had to refrain since my arrival because I'm not trusted around humans yet.

On a scarier note, today me and the Cullens have to meet with the alpha of the werewolf pack that owns this land. The werewolves don't like the arrival of new vampires on their turf, but Carlisle is hoping that they'll be persuaded in allowing me to join their coven peacefully if they see that I am adjusting well to my new animal diet. I hope that they do let me stay. The Cullens are the closest I've ever had to a family in years; after being forced out of my home at the age of 15, I haven't been met with much kindness and have been on the run ever since. I also hope that they won't be able to sense my wolf. A werewolf-vampire hybrid is unheard of, and I don't intend on making a fuss out of it - staying under the radar of the Vultori is in my best interests after all, especially after hearing what they intended to do to Renesme.

It's two pm and we're all lined outside of the Cullen residence, waiting for the arrival of Sam and his pack. A shiver runs down my spine when I see a large auburn wolf - the one that was chasing me in the forest last week - emerge from the greenery. A huge black wolf stands in the centre and front of their formation, shielding three smaller wolves behind him. The brown wolf strides over to his left side. I think the auburn wolf is the second in command, no wonder he's so powerful.
"They'd prefer to stay in their wolf form until they know how big of a threat she poses to them," Edward explains whilst nodding to the black wolf. He must be Sam.
