Five months had passed since the battle that had changed everything. Wanda had been living a quiet, reflective life in a modest home on the outskirts of a small town. The forest clearing where Y/N had sacrificed themselves had slowly begun to heal, but the emptiness of Y/N's absence remained a heavy burden on Wanda's heart.

Each day was a struggle between maintaining a semblance of normalcy and dealing with the ache of loss. Wanda threw herself into helping others, using her powers to mend what was broken and to bring some semblance of peace to those affected by the dark events. Despite her efforts to stay busy, there was always a shadow of sorrow that lingered in her heart.

The sun was setting on a crisp autumn evening, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink. Wanda was at home, preparing a modest dinner and trying to distract herself from the ever-present emptiness. She hummed softly to herself as she set the table, the rhythmic clinking of utensils the only sound in the quiet house.

Just as she was about to sit down, a sudden, urgent knock on the door startled her. Wanda's heart skipped a beat, a jolt of anticipation and curiosity rushing through her. She walked cautiously to the door, her mind racing with the possibilities of who could be visiting at this hour.

She opened the door slowly, her heart pounding. Standing on the doorstep, framed by the golden light of the setting sun, was Y/N. Their presence was as striking and unexpected as a sudden storm. Y/N's eyes met Wanda's, filled with a mix of relief and profound emotion.

"Y/N?" Wanda's voice trembled as she took in the sight before her. "Is it really you?"

Y/N, looking weary but alive, nodded slowly. "It's me Wanda."

Tears welled up in Wanda's eyes as she took a step forward, her hands reaching out instinctively. "I thought I'd lost you forever. I didn't know... I didn't know if I'd ever see you again."

Y/N took a step closer, their own eyes shimmering with tears. "I'm so sorry Wanda, I don't know what to say, only that I missed you."

Wanda's heart ached with a mix of joy and relief. She reached out, her fingers gently touching Y/N's face as if to confirm that they were truly real. "I've missed you so much," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.

Without another word, Y/N closed the distance between them, pulling Wanda into a tender embrace. Wanda melted into the embrace, her arms wrapping around Y/N as if trying to hold onto the moment forever. The warmth of Y/N's body, the familiar scent, and the strong, reassuring presence were everything Wanda had missed.

They stood there, holding each other tightly, the world outside fading away. The silence between them was filled with unspoken words and deep emotions. It was a moment of profound connection and healing, a balm for the wounds that had lingered for months.

Finally, Y/N pulled back slightly, their eyes locking with Wanda's. The intensity of their gaze spoke volumes. Slowly, Y/N leaned in, their lips meeting Wanda's in a soft, passionate kiss. It was a kiss filled with all the longing, the heartache, and the love that had grown in their time apart.

Wanda's hands cupped Y/N's face as she returned the kiss with equal fervor, her heart swelling with joy and relief. The kiss deepened, becoming a beautiful affirmation of their reunion and their enduring bond.

When they finally pulled apart, their foreheads resting together, Y/N whispered softly, "I wanted to do that sooner."

Wanda smiled through her tears, her heart finally feeling whole again. "I've waited a long time for you to kiss me."

Y/n smiles leaning her forehead against Wanda "then why stop at one."

"We will have all the time in the world, for now I just wanna be with you." Wanda says, finally feeling at peace.
"That is the only place I want to be."

"I love you, Y/N." Wanda says as she leans against their shoulder. They place a arm around Wanda, pulling her closer to her "I love you too."

As they sat together, wrapped in each other's arms, the weight of the past five months began to lift.
